Came a realization... This affects many people

All my life, I had this one guy that I see eye to eye every single day that's waiting on me to fail; Telling me I can't when I can or saying I should when i know I shouldn't.

Crazy part is; I'm always looking in the mirror when I see him...

We are our own worst enemies. Support yourself like no one else will.

It's true, it's a hard thing to do. You almost have to step outside of yourself and look at yourself objectively. I like to think of it as editing the novel of your life; be brutal with the red pen and you will achieve true clarity and focus.

It's no wonder that eastern philosophies teach that we are not our minds and our feelings and that we should keep a careful eye on them because they are the source of all of our suffering.

Be easy on you and your self might just be easier on your being

    Be happy, be successful,

Always believe in yourself and what you can do. Never listen those who wants nothing but to see you fail.

I didn't really believe I had real marketable skills other than writing articles for spare change for the longest time.I grew to HATE writing articles because of this.

I had one skill that was shaky, though; SEO.

Trapped deep inside my brain and unbelievably unable to represent themselves was a BUNCH of skills, yes a WHOLE BUNCH of them that turned out to be marketable.

When I suddenly thought of those back on December 22nd, 2011, I forced myself to believe in myself. I really did. Suddenly, the thought of oDesk and Freelancer.com came over me. I thought, gez, those sites may, just may have jobs for me, don't expect miracles, you will likely have 10-20 dollar jobs at best. This is where I faltered.

I said to myself "Get over it, you fool! Go take a look!"

To my intense surprise, many of the jobs were from 90 to 5000 plus dollars.
And they were the skills I had just recovered moments ago! I started to cry wondering, can I actually LAND these? I was still shaky with self belief.

Picking myself up by the bootstraps, I went on to get ID Verified and filled my profile to 100 percent and filled out 2 pieces in my portfolio (currently I have 3 there now) .

Suddenly the next day was a note in my email saying I was to be interviewed for a 450 dollar job. I was ecstatic. $450 dollars was a good start.

We interacted through email and he decides to UP the budget to 1007 Dollars total wired into my account at the bank! I screamed like a little $#@^!

I finally firmly believe in myself that I can land these jobs. I have an interview for $500 dollars! I am waiting for reply next week or 2.

Very true. It's wired in our own mental conditioning.

Upbringing, life experience, and personal hangups are all part of it. Before you can dispel false negative beliefs though, you have to first be aware of them.

Not just "I know, I know" when someone points it out. It sounds like a well-duhhhhhhhh thing, but awareness of a certain mentality (in this case, telling yourself you're incapable of it). As in, "I am aware that I am doubting my own skill and capability, I am aware that this negative belief is false." Then, "I am aware of my own capability." Then you make something happen.

    Awareness... it's a powerful thing.

Self belief should be easy. But, like many other self-evident things, it is difficult. for instance; How common is common sense?

You need to take baby steps. Do a simple task first. Mentally reward yourself. Do a slightly more difficult task. Build up to a much more difficult task.

This is the same system a good manager would use to build a prize fighter. Start with an easy opponent, move to a slightly more difficult opponent, etc....until he is ready for the prize fight.

I am in this to accomplish something. This is as important to me as the big match is to the prize fighter. I intend to take baby steps...and keep taking them....building belief...until I win my battle--which is branding myself as an expert in internet marketing.

It's what you do when no one is watching
that determines what you will be able to
    do when everyone is watching.

That's quiet true. Oftentimes, our best enemy is ourselves and we do this subconsciously. Sad to say, we are hindered by our own limitations in mind set.
