PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Hey guys,

I attended a webinar held by 2 guys and I absolutely loved it!!! Honestly I have been to a few other ones but none of the impressed me as much as this one. I thought since it gave me so much value I thought I would pay them back by sharing it with you guys. Trust me if you are at all into SEO than this will just be WOW!

There is NO sales pitch, it is just two great guys helping people, so I thought it would be cool to have a thread on here where we can all discuss what we learned and that way perhaps gain new insight on the information. I am super excited about this

Hey guys,

So as promised I will give a quick overview of the main message in the webinar:

People focus WAY too much on SEO and never actually think about what the person coming to their site wants to buy or find out !

Think about this, say you had some setup like " The absolute best way to tie knots" ... Well even if you had awesome SEO and you ranked your site highly, WHO CARES if your bounce rate is 90% ?? Basically you did all that hard work to not get paid off in the end. Why would this happen? Well think about what the person who is on your site wants from you, they PROBABLY want to find out how to tie a knot the best way possible and leave.

Ok so if you did some brainstorming and you wanted to get smarter with converting your traffic you might do something like .... " The absolute best way to tie knots for fishing rods" Now when you think about what is the person looking for when they come to your site? well probably they still want to find out how to tie a knot, however what do you know about the person? Well, most likely they go fishing, meaning what? Yup they buy fishing rods, strings, other accessories etc.

I hope that gives some good insight and a different perspective I shared the main msg but if you guys want to talk about more specifics feel free to ask!

Thanks for the share. It is true. We get distracted by the latest techniques and latest WSOs, but it's going back to the basics and doing the basics well that work. It's always been like this for all areas of life.

I feel the bigger of the problems and this was explained at the webinar is that people focus on the wrong things. So if you focus on the basics for your SEO, yeah you will rank highly eventually.... BUT it doesn't really matter if you have a 90% bounce rate. Therefore if you take the time to really think about why you are making a website and who will visit it, yeah it might take longer to make the site, but the rewards will be far superior
