Need to start somewhere

Hey all.

Im a total noob when it comes to this internet marketing stuff but I have been wanting to do it for over a year now. My background is healthcare and although it pays the bills (barely) it is far from a passion. As far as internet marketing, I have a few domain names, although none are really being actively used. I've run a few Facebook Ad and Linked in Ad campaigns for some clickbank stuff and committed about $100 to each product. I had thought it would do really well however none of them sold a thing. After reading ICUNs facebook fan page offline domination I am inspired to follow through with his business model especially because I have a lot of good local business contacts but I dont have the $800+ to shell out for dreamweaver or photoshop.
I guess my question to the veteran warriors is... where would you start if you were me - a guy with no html/web skills but a significantly better understanding of it than the average business owner I deal with offline, a desire to learn affiliate marketing but no idea where to begin or how to even start building this coveted list and basically a guy whose already committed a **** ton of money and years to college for a career that is unfulfilling and looking to do online type work?

Thanks in advance

Cheers to all

Host at least one of your domains and start pumping out quality content that others will want to read and consume! That is my opinion.

Just buy a cheap web hosting and attach all of your domains in it through nameservers. After that, create a Wordpress blog for each website, install a nice theme and start adding high quality content to it. Free traffic methods like article marketing, forums and blog comments may help your sites get ranked well on Google.

All of the ideas mentioned above are good ideas. For graphics, there is always fiverr.com, so I wouldn't worry about artwork. If you are good at it and want to do it yourself, then download gimp which is probably the best free version of photoshop.

Where are you in NJ? I'm in Morris County.

    Best,
