When you go into Koogle Keyword Tool to research some keywords, do you usually use the narrow or broad match?

I'm looking into google for the keyword 'cake decoration supplies', I can see 110.000 searches per mo in the broad and only 480 searches in the narrow mode.

I always use exact match and i try to go after long tailed keywords
because they tend to be more focused to buyers.

Same here with Joseph. Exact match is a good way to go. But also make sure that your preferred keyword has low competition and lots of monthly searches.
