Other sources of monetization

I'm using only adsense on my sites which are on first page. What are other ways of monetization? Adsense is not making enough money for me though its the easiest one I guess.

    Could you sell advertising spaces?
Could you join a CPA network and use banner ads?
    Can you flip the site?

CPM With CPM you get paid per impression, usually a few cents per impression. The good thing about CPM is that no one has to click on your ads for you to get paid, the bad news is that most of the time you get paid only a few cents per thousand impression. So, CPM would work much better on blogs with high amounts of traffic.

    2 In-text Advertising

    5) Text Links
Text links (I call them affiliate links) are basically links that point to another site. Text links direct visitors from your blog to someone else’s blog or website. When it comes to getting paid, Text links work differently than other methods, meaning the pay is based on the popularity of your blog. The more popular your blog is, the more money you get. Text-Link-Ads and Link Worth are two of the most famous text link advertising companies.....hope this helps a bit

I used to use Adsense but never made very much from it, only a few dollars so took it off my sites, to be honest I like the look of my sites without the ads!

Lead generation mate. Let your visitors subscribe to your site so you can start sending out newsletters. Not every visitor is going to convert into a click or buyer, but having a list of potential buyers who have signed up to receive newsletters from you...that is worth it's own weight in gold.

I like AdSense for right now. Eventually I'd like to sell my own advertising or even utilize membership fees for sites. I feel like I'll really need to offer a lot of exclusive value to do that though.

I too have Adsense, but not really getting serious with them. I suggest you should start doing affiliate marketing or CPA. Replace your Adsense ads with relevant affiliate banners, and we'll see if your sales are arising.
