Do what you love and the money will follow

Do what you love and the money will follow. If you love what you do, it doesn't feel like work.

You must focus on your unique abilities, talent and skill that generate the most value. Most individuals feel bored because they do not have the freedom to do what they do best. Sometimes we are tired to perform task and job description that we can causally performing well, without "passion".

I see people starts companies and getting involved in tasks that are so absolutely outside of their "passion". I've seen others who can not balance their cheque book try to start financial organizations. I've seen somebody try to release games title who had no gaming experience (and actually, do not even like games).

They focus only on what will offer them "money" , those tasks that are going to make them the most cash -- but they do not first consider what their is their "passion" is.

And all those efforts unsuccessful. Why? You have to be enthusiastic about what you are doing or you are going to give up after the first drawback.
The more you really like what you do the more you will keep working at it.
Also, when you utilize your "passion", you are making it simpler on yourself.
If you start something you're halfway into or that doesn't capture your "passion", you're making it much harder to succeed.

But what if you have no idea what is your "passion" is?
It's time you find out.
It's time to live your passion

    So true! Great post....

I think inherently it comes down to the fact that doing what you love is easy. You don't have to dread getting up everyday and working on your projects, and this gives you a clearer mind and allows you to perform better than you ever could with doing something you hate.

If you only think about the money (what 90% of Internet marketers do) you will look for the quickest way to get that which results in the "Shiny object syndrome" we all talk about. When something doesn't work immediately, you'll move on to the next thing.

If you enjoy being a marketer, enjoy helping people, you'll keep doing it without giving up just because you're not happy with the immediate earnings and that's when you'll see true success.

Passion is the key to success.

I agree that you need to follow your dreams. However, most people have to work at something they dont necessarily like, such as a regular job or get into something that is working for everyone at the present, inorder to make money. The money is not the goal, it is the financial freedom that allows you to move into things that are your passion. Sometimes what you are passionate about will not necessary create an income in the short term. It may even cost money. I mean money is what were all talking about here? If you already have enough money that you dont need to work hard at a job or project you hate so you can then concentrate on what you do love.
Here's hoping we all get there.

        Didn't Confucius say that?

I agree, the more you love what you do, the less like work it will be. You'll put more into it, and ultimately be more successful with it because you love it.

Boy I totally agree. I was just reading another posts of similar remarks. I am going to be launching my first WSO soon. I love to teach. I have been doing it for years. Do what you love my friends. The rest is just learning how to do the tech and marketing however nothing shines up a sub par product.

What if you love making money?!?!

I think there's an equalibrium that if you make enough money, you'll put up with crappier work; likewise, if you love what you do enough you'll put up with lesser money. Now finding love and bank is ostensibly ideal.

A very inspiring and great post! I also learned this statement from someone:

Free your mind, and the rest will follow.
Meaning, we just have to open ourselves to opportunities and from there, we can choose which field is truly our passion. It is important that we do things we likely enjoy and love to do. That way, we are more productive than doing things we are ONLY tasked to do.

I agree, do what you love. I have worked in the 9 to 5 job for most of my life and now am in my 40's. I find that no one wants me in that world anymore because I'm "too old" and have been frustrated about it for awhile now. But, it really is a blessing in disguise since I am not having to do something different. I am working in building an affiliate business, beginning to paint, and write for people. All of these things I love to do and I am so excited. I get a little concerned sometimes since I haven't seen any income from them but I am not going to stop. I have to do this and more importantly, "I WANT TO DO THIS!" Its that simple...lets do what we love.

So true, I once did a Dale Carnegie course and this is what he taught. That if you can speak on a subject in which you are passionate about and close to heart, you will be able to speak about that subject for hours. The words will flow easily and people will listen to what you have to say.

so totally true. If you are doing something you love you can get true the hard times when you are not making much money. you will also find that you pick up a lot more about your niche because you love the subject so much therefore you are more likely to become an expert in your field and being an expert is where the big money is

Now that I'm doing offline marketing I can say that everyday is a weekend for me. I used to absolutely hate what I was doing before and now I just can't get enough of it.

I truly do feel bad for the people who work their entire lives in a job that the hate just to make a living. There is sooo much more to life than working for a paycheck.

I'm not convinced this hypothesis is true to be honest.

I know of many people who do what they love and they are in a state of financial difficulty with no light at the end of the tunnel.

If we only done what we love in the world, then we wouldn't have clean ironed clothes or clean dishes to eat food from - unless of course you love those activities.

If you want to make money you need to do what you have to do before you are able to find a pleasing groove.

I totally agree with you fire_fighter! Doing what you love means you're totally satisfied and contented with how life goes for you. It doesn't really feels like working if you really have the passion on what you are doing.
