Overcoming F.E.A.R: False Evidence Appearing Real

People are afraid of losing their job, or afraid to explore new things. Fear can rise up and flex your muscles if you're not careful. It stops you from reaching your potential. Fear will destroy your future. You'll never conquer your problems if you don't stand up in and face it.

Here are principles of conquering fear:

1. Recognize what are you afraid of
If you deny them you won't overcome them. It must be identified and you must speak to it. " My will to success is stronger than this problem. I'm more than a conqueror, I'm an overcomer "

2. Know The Source Of Your Fear
When fear come, identify the source. You got to know where it's coming from. It deals with your will power. You must learn how to deal with it.
Some fears come from family, school, social environment, past bad experience, failure. Cast out fear and take charge over it, and refuse to have anything to do with it.
If you're still dealing with that fear then you haven't conquered anything. Recognize your fear and get rid of it.

3. Check The Reality Of Your Fear

Many times, fear isn't real at all. Here's what fear means:

F -alse
E -vidence
A -ppearing
R -eal

False evidence appearing real!

Sometimes fear is based on nothing. Don't let no one's negative words put fear in you. So many people are afraid, saying, I can't try anything new. I'm stuck in my situation forever. Stand up on and speak the words of success.

    Yes, very well put.

I have a little card alongside my computer which acts as a reminder and which says:-

"FACE YOUR FEARS ~ they are all that stand between you and what you want"

Take good care of those that you love.

Thank for a great post! That is so true that our fears (which are false and unnecessary most of the time), prevents us from having the lives we dream of. Very well put!

Fear is an illusion. If you think of all the problems and atrocities that are occurring around the world due to fear, they are actually being created perpetuated by a complete illusion. It's sad in that respect. I believe one of the most liberating and constructive things we can do in our lives is to overcome fear - it's not easy though I'll admit that!

    LITANY AGAINST FEAR

    I must not fear.
    Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
    Only I will remain.

Another poem related to this topic, I have it printed out and taped to my mirror:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
    gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
    our presence automatically liberates others.
