Here is the key...
Choose to be a bee and not a fly.

A bee...
1. Has an innate sense of responsibility and desire to work. (One pound of honey, is produced after bees in a colony visit about 2 million flowers, while flying nearly 55,000 miles)
2. Is an expert communicator and a quick learner. (They tell one another where the nectar is plenty)
3. Will produce in summer and have enough to eat during winter. (A honey bee never sleeps.)

The result?
A bee helps in pollination. A bee produces honey-wildly revered in all cultures. And the only food item that never goes bad and can sustain a human being.

A fly...
1. Never works.
2. Is never focused, flies aimlessly.
3. Has no sense of responsibility or authority.

The result?
A fly eats dead things. Societies world over hate it and flies depict death and decay.

Key lesson- wealth is a product of labor and wisdom. Whoever is telling you otherwise is lying. Do you agree?

I agree, that's one of the most interesting work related metaphors I've ever heard!
And it's strangely motivating, even after pulling an all nighter, writing an ebook (:

Definitely agree. Although when it comes to earning money online, most of us would like to be both the worker and the Queen of the hive

      That's very true.
However, the queen also works very hard in a colony...
-It lays up to 2500 eggs per day.
-It brings order and harmony in a colony of 20,000-60,000 worker bees.

Wow great post! I would say love and wisdom are the keys. I am sure most agree when I say if you love what you are doing it never feels like labor because I would do it for free! That's how I feel about all our internet businesses!

Great analogy, but I'm wondering if you came up with the quote in your signature. That's also a pretty good one.

Yes that's my quote. Perhaps I need to put my name on it.

    "And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations;

Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you]. There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought."

That was a great way of comparing. I'd love to say that to someone: "Are you a bee, or a fly?"

I'd get a funny look, but once I explained it I think my point would get across.

      Excellent share - thank you!

And I too love your signature. Yes, you should add your name to it.

Okay I get what you are saying so this is in jest.

Humans also eat dead things. When was the last time you ate a live sheep or cow?

      That's an interesting twist...

It is true we eat dead fish, chicken, goats etc. But they are normally fresh, not decaying or decomposing.

Thanks for the new perspective. I will watch my words next time to make sure I drive the point home without any possible unwanted twists.

I totally agree that wealth is a product of labor and wisdom. Every person works really hard for them to achieve their goals in life. Whether it be money, position or a comfortable living. And together with hard work, wisdom is also one of the key factor.
