Many people will reject the idea that they can make a $1,000,000 in 12 months. They consider it impossible, unlikely or perhaps a fantasy.
New ideas are often rejected and sometimes the originators persecuted. Take a look at this…
When scientist first suggested that the earth revolved around the earth and that the sun was at the centre of the solar system, there was immense surprise and consternation. The idea was thought as false; after all anyone could see the sun move across the sky and descend behind the hills. How could anyone suggest otherwise? Yet today the idea has finally carried conviction in the minds of all.
Robert H. Goddard ( 1882 – 1945) was a physicist credited with creating the world's first liquid-fueled rocket. Between 1926 and 1941 his team launched 34 rockets achieving an altitude of up to 2.6 km. Many of his works led to the development of the modern spaceflight. Yet in his days he was often ridiculed for his theories and received little public support.
Sigmund Freud’s ideas of conscious and subconscious mind were first rejected by the scientific community of Europe. At the time it was difficult to entertain the thought. Yet today a big portion of the self help industry is based on this theory of the power of the subconscious mind.

The bottom line: you can do much more than you think. Don’t reject ideas or thoughts before you test them.

To make a million dollars, all you need is to sell an ebook, software, video or course at a net profit of $1 to one million buyers. ( better still sell 1000 pieces with a profit of $1000) If you think this is impossible, you are right. And if you think it is possible you are also right. Consider this…
-According to Businessinsider, 27-year old Amanda Hocking sales about 100,000 Ebooks per month.
-Juniper Research says ebook sales in 2011 stood at $3.2 billion. With the strong increase in portable digital book readers, some forecasters claim worldwide ebook sales are expected to reach $9.7 billion by 2016.
-VLC media player has been downloaded 300 million times; wordpress is used by more than 200 million websites.
To make a million bucks all you need is a bright idea and a few hundred dollars to buy a domain and a hosting. Build your start- up business and get a buyer ready to shell a million. Again if you wondering how on earth this can be done, have a look at these inspiring stories…
-According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Catherine Cook and her brother David (aged 15 and 16) had a great idea in 2005 and started MyYearbook. In 2011 their start up was acquired for $100 million by Quepasa, a publicly-traded Latino social network. At the time of acquisition, they were barely 22.
-The same paper had a story last year of Adam Cahan who came up with a tool that would let people tell their friends TV shows they are watching. Just three months later, he sold his start-up to Yahoo for what was believed to be between $20million and $30million.
To make a million dollar offline, all you need is to identify a buyer for a property going for $100 million or more. Facilitate the sale and get a one percent commission. This has happened before.
 In addition, you can become what legendary marketer Jay Abraham calls ‘a match-maker or connector’. Identify companies that do not have lead generation or back end. Source it for them and get a cut of the action. Now, take a look at this…
According to the IRS 321,294 made a million dollars income 2008. In 2009 just about 235,000 were in this threshold. Interestingly, 8,274 returns were filed by people making $10 million or more. There is no telling what percentage of top earners were in commission sales. However, statistics show that 85% of CEOs have a sales or marketing background. That means that being a rainmaker in a company is a sure way of getting fame, respect and fortune.
The hardest part in making a million dollars is believing that you can do it; training your mind to see the impossible and looking for ways to bring your desires into fruition. Your thoughts are powerful and act as magnet attracting that which you think about most of the time. You can’t delegate your thinking; you can’t pay someone else to do it. You must do it consistently and continuously; without any form of doubt.

Remember there were many people living in Spain in the late 1400s, but only Christopher Columbus made up his mind to discover the unknown and to date his name remains in the history books having made voyages to the Americas and the Caribbean when it was unthinkable.

    I've got another one of those famous stories, where someone formerly ridiculed ended up being right. Ludwig Boltzmann, who developed statistical thermodynamics, was ridiculed and laughed at by his peers for talking about the invisible "particles" making up the world. No one would take him seriously whenever he appeared anywhere to give a talk. He ended up committing suicide, because he allowed himself to be affected by it.

    Now, every natural scientists knows Boltzmann's law, Boltzmann's constant, the Boltzmann distribution and so on. There is no way to get around this name when learning anything that has to do with thermodynamics. So never give up and don't listen to people who don't know better!

    Opportunities, and the open roads they represent, are everywhere. Look around.

    Currently I am working on a startup and dealing with venture capialist and all.

    If every thing goes right then in near future I would have a 100 million dollar exit.
    If things don't go the way they should, still I will have priceless expirience!

    Very nice, thank you. As human beings we may all be *physically* capable of earning a million dollars or more, but when it comes down to it, what separates the average earner from the millionaire is mindset.

    How does one even begin to go from the former to the latter? Resolve fear of failure and break out of your comfort zone. Become aware of those old patterns of thinking, then do little things to break out of it until it becomes natural to progress forward. No need to absorb every last detail and have everything perfect in your head from the outset - once you have the concept, best way thereafter is from experience, so just get started.

    This is a really great post, backed up with plenty of ideas about how someone could get started.

    One of the common threads in IM is "How can I make $50,000 before..."

    These are usually met with the typical reply that you can't and that this is a business that you need to build up slowly in. And while I think the intent behind this advice is good, that you need to treat IM like a business it does detract from the fact that it is easy to scale in this business and that people do quickly move up and make a lot of money.

    As you say it only takes one good idea, well executed.

    Believe all the time and never give up. But do not put Time Line in this situations. Maybe will not happend in 1 year, it is possible that will happend 3 mounths later.

    You inspired me with this - over again. This reminds me of what I told some of my friends during a discussion - I do say it a lot though - "If I can get $0.03 from every Nigerian each year (population count of about 160 million), I'll be a millionaire = $5,000,000/year). Now, that boils down to thinking up an idea, developing it into a product and transforming it into a utility if possible. Inasmuch as there is value there, you are a millionaire. People don't just understand the simplest things oftentimes.

      Your right on that its called innovation it happens all around us. I remember one of the first article submitters and was so fascinated by it. I am still fascinated but in a different way. I like how we can combine different technologies to complete our goals what a time saver.

    Mindset is everything.

    If you believe you can make a million in a year you mind will be keen on taking advantages of opportunities that come your way. If you have negative emotions about that kind of money you will never see those opportunities.
