It must be more than 100 times I read about importance of planning and a vision and mission in life. I'm 25, but still not sure about my future. I can't decide about my financial goals. I assume there're no opportunities. I can see no options at all. I think my age required me to take some decision. I don't want to choose to do something that I dont like. How do I proceed? Hell stressed and frustrated for a couple of days.

Start with what you like doing. What are your interests? What makes you happy?

It's as simple as that. Do what you enjoy doing, let everything else fall into place. Why are you working online? Is it because you enjoy it? Or just because you need money? Forcing yourself to do something essentially guarantees that you will fail at it.

I think or I'm realizing that I dont know what I might enjoy doing. Of course, I like working online. But no luck here. As I've always heard " do what you like to do and money will come as byproduct". As money is also important for living. Not only enjoyment.

Sometimes the only way to find out what you like doing is to... do things. Set up a web page, start a blog, write an article, learn photoshop, paint a picture, sky dive, write a novel, make your own beer, or train a dog.

Most people have more than one career during their lifetime. Don't worry that you'll make the wrong choice because often the only way to know it's the wrong choice is to try it and see what happens.

If you fear making the "wrong choice" too much you end up not making any choices at all.

Very true. Money does put a roof over your head and food in your mouth. Don't make it the basis of everything you do though. That is how you end up depressed. I unfortunately know from first hand experience. Enjoyment should take precedence whenever it is not absolutely necessary to buck up and survive. Depending on your world view, you only live once.

The fact that you are aware that you need to plan and have a mission statement in your life is a great step in the right direction I guess about 90% the people in your age do not even know the existence of goal setting.

Take a sheet of paper and write 50 things you'd love to have done by the time you are 50. I think that will give you the direction you should take in your life.

I think that having a plan is great, but in my experience, being open to change your plans can lead to amazing opportunities.

When I first applied to MaxBounty, I had NO IDEA what CPA was and working in the industry was certainly not part of any plan I had. I was coming off a contract job and was applying to every job I could find that I thought I might be considered for. Lucky for me, the owners of MB thought I was a good fit to be an Affiliate Manager. Flash forward seven years and I'm still working with MaxBounty and enjoy this industry immensely: meeting new people, learning as the industry changes, and working with an amazing team.

Have a plan but don't be afraid to take a leap of faith!

Do you mean that I should try to make a plan but if I'm unable to, I should depend on faith?

I think that if you are having trouble making a plan, you may need to loosen up your definition of plan a bit and also be open to taking a chance (call it faith, luck, whatever).

Perhaps, for now, your "plan" needs to be "take some time to discover what I want for my life and then make a plan".

A leap of faith basically means going outside your comfort zone. That's where you are sitting right now. This is where most people live their lives, average and comfortable.

Are you looking for opportunities? This is the warrior forum. There are hundreds of them if you just look around.

If you have trouble planning for the big picture don't. Make it up as you go.

Faith won't get you anywhere. ACTION will. That old saying of do what you love and the money will come is NOT true. Don't let this discourage you.

Money in the hands of a fool will only bring trouble, but it solves all things in the hands of the wise. Enough of the cutesy stuff though. Let's keep it down to earth.

You need to assess your situation. Find out where you are financially, where you are socially, mentally, etc. Find out what resources you have available to you and what time frame you're looking at. Life happens. Deal with it. If you have no idea what brings you fulfillment, and accomplishment, (not joy, joy is ephemeral) then you need to start ACTING.

You need to make a series of fluid plans. Not a big one - just day by day, week by week. Plans change all the time and therefore need to be amended as circumstances arise. The concept of going from A-B-C-D isn't realistic, but neither is the whole "shoot from the hip" and "have faith" idea. But it sounds like you don't even know where you want to go, so you're flying under the hood without any instruments.

You CAN plan your life. Assess yourself, find out where you want to go and who you want to be, make some goals, take action, analyze, correct, and repeat.

"the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry"

You should make plans to the best of your ability knowing what you know at the present moment. Then expect to make changes along the way as your knowledge increases and life throws you a few curves.

I have an opportunity. I can run business and have knowledge and potential resources. But law, order, politics and economic condition of my country is getting worst day by day. Future here is unpredictable. So dont just want to take any step here. If I plan to move to some other country, there are very few or no opportunities at all and I'll have to start from the beginning again!

It's not only your country, it's getting worse everywhere. Rain or shine, there will always be people who may need your help, your services, your products. They'll always be willing to pay you. Maybe, they're not in your country. Maybe, they're somewhere you've never been to. You can still reach them. That's why internet is the best career ever, don't you think?

It sounds like a lack of focus and attitude.

If you have the knowledge, skills and you know what to do, then you need to do it. I'm not suer how with internet marketing you would have to start over?

I don't mean to sound rude or mean, I think that you truly want help but any advice that has been given you have shot it down. Stop thinking so negatively and start thinking positive. You are the only person who controls what your life will be. If you want to be successful, dig deep inside what you truly want and go for it. You are capable of being successful, let go and allow yourself to be successful.

Take a step back, Figure out what attributes you have, what you like, what you can do, what your good at.

Focus in on each one of these, write a list of as many as you can, then slowly whittle that list down.

Eventually you'll come down to a few options,

Now take that list and make a separate list for all the things you could possibly do in that niche or related to that niche, now narrow this list down to. Wahla you have a potential focusing point on which to work at.

As for planning, you need to know the direction your going to go before you can even start planning, blind planning is not planning at all.

If you want a good book on planning I recommend "getting things done" by david allen

Sounds like you're misinterpreting the meaning of what you've been told.

No one expects you to have a super detailed plan of your life, and you shouldn't either! Could you imagine how boring life would be if we had an entire road map for it at out disposal.

Just get clear goal of the direction you want to go in, whether that be in business or personal.

Life being full of surprises is a good thing, I'd recommend just writing down a piece of paper something you want achieve. The more specific the better, but don't stress about it.

It could be financial freedom or that six pack you always imagine yourself having in your dreams. Anything, just something to help keep you on the right track.

Whatever you discover or learn while walking down that track is all part of the fun.

Plan your goals, not your life.

    Hope this helps

I think you need to analyze yourself first.
    -Identify your strengths
    -Identify your weaknesses
    -Identify your interest
    -Identify your skills
-Identify your goals and what you want to achieve in life.

This will help in getting more and more focused on what to do and how to plan your time and skills for the better future.
    Good Luck

The hunger in you should make the "why" project out to make a plan in your subconscious mind. The plan is happening behind your mind, some times you not knowing it consciously. .

You can make it distinct and clear by thinking and finding the emotionally linked "why" Think of why you should do anything or something and find out how strong is the "why".

You have all the resources in you.
