Hey warriors ,

I have recently read Robert kiyosaki's Business of the 21st century where he states that Network marketing is the Right business to enter as soon as possible in 21st century as it has 8 assets.
Equal opportunity , Education system , Royalty Money etc. are some of them.

According to you , Is network marketing A Great business Model ?

Network marketing was fine and dandy when the general public was naive to this sort of thing. Nowadays it doesn't really fly and many people will compare your business model to a ponzi scheme.

The beautiful thing about network marketing though, is that the business model is loosely shaped on a pyramid. The person at the top of the pyramid STARTS at the top of the pyramid and stays there. They do not have to work their way up their own pyramid. Everyone under him is essentially residual income for the guy at the top.

Yeaa its a good business, if we are in the right company at the right time with right uplines to support.

As you also know that start up cost is low and there is lots to gain and less to lose.

This business is very solid but it takes a lot of work. Which of course is fine, everything in life takes work.

I think though the wrong type of people get involved with network marketing.

They kinda want to get rich quick and those things just don't happen.

I totally agree with Omar, most people that get involved try get as many people under them as possible. But if you don't find people that will build a quality network as well, they end up just having a lot of down lines that aren't doing the work! So quality is better then quantity, like most things in life IMO.

Look at Network 21 that use Amway as the vehicle, great concept, good model BUT it's not going to bring you a nice income with in the first 24months, unless you work your arse off & find like minded individuals. Even then, you'll only make MAYBE $30k? and that's ALOT of hard work!

Just research before you commit like any investment whether it's time or money, it works for some people but doesn't for others. A lot of people you'll approach, either won't understand & not invest, or think it's a get rich quick system.

Network Marketing is fine, but I dont think it is for everyone. It works if you are able a lot of people under you, who will also be able find other people. But many of the people I know who are into network marketing were able to get only a few people, then got lazy and the people under them got lazy too and/or couldn't get people under them.. It requires a lot of effort, and if you only put little effort, it is a very very slow way to earn money.

I love Rich Dad Poor Dad but but don't agree with some of his other books. To be successful at network marketing you have to have the right personality and be a "people person" or learn how to be. Many people waste away all their money buying products to gain "points" all the time making the people above them richer and their selves poorer. For the same time/effort you could start your own business and become successful at it. Having family members in Amway and other network marketing has made me sour toward it. Then again if you have the right attitude and believe in it and work hard you can be successful with anything.

It can be right for many people - but a great quote I heard once was "Network Marketing is a Personal Development program with a Compensation Plan."
You have to take it serious, treat it like a business, and grow, grow, grow.
Think about it like this - if you signed up as a distributor for a soda machine manufacturer (or whatever) - you'd get out and WORK. Ads, etc.
Well, good, quality MLM's are like that. Real products, real income, but you have to work at it. And like any new Career, you very likely don't have the skills you need from Day 1.
Finally, while you can earn a small piece of the 'action' as you introduce new team members as distributors, you have to forget about the people above you. It will eat at you if all you think about is them. Your success depends on you, and you can earn more than them if you work.

It's a great business model for the company or for Kiyosaki who gets paid to promote the model and he creates tools that he sells to MLM junkies but it's not a good model for the distributor. Do what the rich do but don't buy into everything they want to sell you.

Kiyosaki sells his own products... to MLM'ers... but is he a MLM distributor?

For 20 years I dabbled in Network Marketing always spending far more on tools and training than I ever made. My obsession kept me poor. It wasn't until I decided to start creating and selling my own products that I became successful.

Its far better to be the MLM company than just another MLM distributor.

When you are the prime source of the product, every distributor is money in your pocket.

If you're just a distributor then everyone not in your down line is your competition.

Plus its a hard sell with most MLM products because most are over priced and over hyped and the suckers you approach are smart enough to know that if not for the money making opportunity attached to the product... you would never buy and use it at the price its being sold for....

Especially if there are similar products available in retail stores at a much better price.

There are far easier ways to make money than by hawking over priced, over hyped products.

      Cheers,
      Steve

Depends on the product and the system used within the network. Make sure if you enter this kind of business you should understand the whole system and the product.
