I can't believe I never thought to post this in here, when it's the perfect motivational vid - in fact many self-help coaches have taken to using it. I posted it in OT with the fabby commercial the Germans made from it (http://www.warriorforum.com/off-topi...-feelgood.html)

For those who don't venture into the OT, if THIS doesn't inspire you to get off your ass and live your dream then nothing will.

    Great idea to post Paul Potts here! Truly inspirational. Heartbreakingly good.

    My wife and I watched this on YouTube for the first time a few months ago. It had us both in tears. I found it so moving that I wasn't much good for anything else for an hour or so afterward. One of the most powerful things I've seen, online or off.

    I've watched it perhaps a dozen times since then and it still grabs me by the heart and by the throat.

      Yes, I know what you mean! I find myself watching it over and over - although the German commercial has now become a favourite as it captures our emotions pretty accurately.

      The amount of people who say things like "I hate opera, but this made me cry" is staggering.

      Someone described it as "a testament to the human spirit" and I guess they are right.

        Just watched the German commercial. I see why you like it so well.
        In the commercial, Paul Potts' performance even chokes up the children!

        (Thanks, too, for that commercial. I'll share it at dinner tonight with my wife and kids.)

        His singing affects people of all ages very powerfully, doesn't it! Add to that the fact that the Potts video on YouTube has been viewed more than 32 million times as of this morning, and I have to think he's touching something very "primal" in human nature when he sings.

        Same for the composer. So here we have a very powerful and moving composition, sung by a very powerful and moving singer, with the addition of a very powerful and moving personal story. wow.

    I saw that video a year or so ago, even now, I still get choked up watching.
