Think through your goals. Think through your most important task. Determine what it will take for you to make the most of your opportunities and then go for it. Go to school, take that course, read that book and sharpen your skill. Nobody will pay for your raw talent in the raw state. It is when you refine them they have commercial value. However high the level of excellence you cultivate, there will always be someone willing to pay you what you are worth. Be the best in your field. Don't be satisfied with being a little shrub by the corner. Stand out; you are made for the top. Give life your best shot and watch yourself rise.
