Best Definition of success

I like what Earl Nightengale said about success: "Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal." It's not a static position to attain, it's a dynamic unfolding that you can have right now. As soon as you're realizing your worthy ideal, you are successful.

The real meaning of success is being able to look back and still give yourself a pat on the shoulder

For me.. the success means the completion of your goals and plans.

Success is having people around you to love, happy to do the things you love. Free from stress and living a healthy life just being YOURSELF.

He is suggesting success is not some static destination upon which one arrives, but a dynamic place in the present moment that anyone can achieve by aligning themselves with a worthy ideal. If you're progressively realizing your worthy ideal, then you are successful.

I think if you are satisfied with what you are doing, you are the luckiest and successful person in this universe.

Success is the balance of have and want...

Everybody has a slightly different opinion of what success is, well here's my opinion.

Success is when you're able to feel happy with your current position in life. If you're happy with the way things are in your life, then you can consider yourself successful.

If anything in life is making you suffer, whether it's your financial status, relationship status, job status, etc...then I wouldn't consider you successful. Even if you're rich, you aren't successful unless you are truly happy.

Ok, it's not easy to explain what success it, but I'll tell you how to feel successful.

The first thing you need to do is set goals that you'd like to achieve. After you've set your goals, develop a plan to reach those goals. Once you've reached those goals, you will start feeling 'success'.

Feeling successful is a great stimulant for your brain because you'll be more motivated and driven towards achieving the things you want from life.

Give it a try and you'll see what I mean

Everybody can see success in different ways.

But for me.
Success is achieving your plans/goals.
From being discontented to contented is Success.

success .. is when the only person in the world your better than.. is the person you where yesterday ..

there are many people who may not live in big houses.. may never have had a million dollars.. may have had their problems .. but they live out long live happy and always managed to do what was needed to live well and live right for them ..

success is personal.. for me success has been peicing my mental state back together and crawling and clawing my way out of a state of depression that sat on me most of my life .. I am broke right now .. no job and a few thousand dollars in debt ..

how many people pile on the symbols of success .. but drink themselves into a stupor every night because they are miserable ..

on these forums people can look at suceess and say people making a certain amount of money are successful .. on spiritual forums.. someone who is living in airy fairy land living love and light and talking to angles and spirts can be a success .. on gamer forums .. the people furthest in to the game beating the hardest content can be a success .. with weight loss the people who took a bunch of weight off and kept it off can be a success ..

on conspiracy theorist websites ... oh well .. i guess your a success if you get a bunch of people to believe your story of imending doom ?

Success for me is simply something you work hard for without degrading anyone.

I agree with this definition from Winston Churchill, “Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”

Success is for making money , family , GOD then helping others without hesitation.

Personally for me, it's all about the freedom. Be it financial or any other type of freedom.

o me, success is about making a difference for good in the lives of others and in the organizations we support. Helping people and organizations make positive changes is fulfilling work, and that is at the heart of success, in my opinion. Perhaps the best measure of this comes from how much we would be missed if we were gone. Wealth, fame, power, or stature do define success - making a difference does

to me achievements is approximately building a distinction for good within the lives connected with other people in addition to within the companies we all assistance. Supporting individuals in addition to companies produce beneficial changes is satisfying do the job, and that is in the middle connected with achievements, i believe. Perhaps the ideal way of measuring this specific originates from how much we may become skipped in case we all were gone. Riches, celebrity, energy, or even visibility accomplish determine achievements -- building a distinction really does.

A great example from the TV program Deal Or No Deal is a man named Ali. He used to live in poverty in Gambia and since moving to England his favourite job of 7 years (which he loves) is being a "Bin Man"/collecting garbage. And now because of winning £40,000 on the game show he can fulfil his dream of helping his Family and others back in Gambia. : )

I think since all of us have different things in our lives that we set as our goals and the lead us to self-actualization and feeling of having accomplished something to the best of our abilities, and that is why it is so difficult to find one universal definition of success. It is most likely to be slightly different for all of us.
Some people find joy and success in helping others, some people unfortunately define success only in monetary terms.
