Am I Scared of Success

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately, and have come to the conclusion of why I have not been taking action

Of course these are only my opinions and would love to hear others thoughts on this also.

When I first stumbled across the warrior forum I had the slightest clue about making money online. I wanted to start a forum, and really had no intentions on making any money on it. To me it just seemed like it would be great little hobby and something to pass time. Next thing you know i was caught up here on the WF everyday reading posting and spending a lot of time here asking questions that I already knew the answers to and reading almost every thread that caught my eye. I did this for almost a month straight even caught myself reading them from my phone while on lunch break at work.

I even made a thread asking for a mentor, now how many of these have I seen over the month or two, a lot. In most of those threads the response was no one is going to mentor you for free. So why did I think I was different? Maybe I was just following the trend of what I had seen with other new members? But honestly I thought I just had a better sales pitch of while I would be a good candidate. Anyway I received a PM from a very kind person here on the WF offering his help. I made a phone call to him and chatted a few times back and forth through e-mails, everything seemed great. Unfortunately I had some misfortunes with my family life that had slowed me down, he was understanding and i continued with a few more emails.

Then I just stopped! I stopped checking the forums here and I completely stopped taking any action what so ever. Why?

As the saying is very popular "the rich get richer" during a conversation a few weeks ago someone mentioned it to me, and I have been dwelling on it ever since.

Why do the rich get richer? It is obviously a lot easier to make money when you have money, or so it seems.

Personally I dont think it's the money they have access to that makes them "successful" in business. This is what they are accustomed to they are not only surrounded by business, money and successful people, they dont know any different. Their mindset is just different from that of the normal working person.

How many people to you interact with daily? Out of those people how many of them are in general in your "social class"? Meaning you make or they make in a general sense the same amount of money. I asked my self this question and come to find out everyone i associate myself with is pretty much right where I am now in life. Even more interesting the people that i grew up with and have become more successful in one way or the other, no longer associate themselves with the people that they once used to. Surely this isnt just coincidence.

Anyway, it seems that over the last month I have known what I should be doing to take action, but every time I sit down to do it I get distracted and seem to "put it off for tomorrow". The thing is I dont think that I am genuinely getting distracted more so that I'm subconsciously telling my self that it wont work, and ultimately am just scared of success. Some of you might look at this as just being scared of failure, but most likely if your like me I have failed at many things in life, and by not taking action or making a change towards a better direction I am failing from the start. So i am defiantly not scared of failure. Which can only mean that I am scared of success, sounds crazy but in my particular situation it's the only logical I can come up with.

Now that I can honestly see what is holding me back, i have a lot more motivation and better general perspective of how to get to where I want. I have taken more time and research in goal setting lately. The biggest thing that has helped me in knowing that i can succeed is making small achievable goals. Instead of telling my self that I want to be able to quit my job and make thousands of dollars online a week, i set my goal to making only $100 dollars a month.

I can always add more goals once I achieve the ones already have set in place. The theory behind this is that once you get in the routine of goal setting and see that you can actually achieve them, you subconsciously put this in your everdyay life and have more motivation because you actually see results.

Not sure what actually made me start this thread in the first place, but I am happy to inform everybody I have a different outlook on my daily life now and hope that the mentor I mentioned above will be kind enough to understand that I didnt intentionally just stop communicating with him. Of course I will be sure to have something to show him in terms of work and dedication before i go back asking for help

Success isn't something to be scared of.

What should scare you is what you do with that success.

I had a problem with this recently and I've come around and changed my life because of it.

Last year I made more in 1 year than the average family makes. But, I became greedy and started to push those that were close to me away. I wasn't mean to anyone and I wasn't scamming anyone, but I started wanting more and more money.

A few months ago, I came to realization that I had lost more than I gained, even though I was more successful than before.

I then felt lost and confused and began to retaliate against my success.

It was a really hard time for me.. so hard that I began to lose who I really was.

So I decided I needed to make a change, I needed to be the man that I set out to be in the first place and since then everything has gone up. I'm not only successful, but I'm becoming happier and happier each day. I'm finding that the love of my life is happier with me too.

I will never let myself go back into that dark place. I'll make great money, but it won't be for me. It will be for everyone around me, my family, my future, our future.
