Focus on what you CAN do, not what you CAN'T!

I have seen so many threads from people saying they can't do this or they're no good at that. While it may be true, I am certain that everyone is good at something.

Focus your skills on the things you ARE good at and learn the things you don't know over time. Don't try to do everything at once or you'll have a meltdown of some kind!

I hope this makes sense to you. You will be more successful if you do this yourself.

Nice post. I agree with that, when you try do something that you not good, them will take your time more, with less effective. Check what you love to do or what you want to do, do it and learn more about it how to do perfect more. Your life will better. Real for my self.

  • You're right! Many people focus on the negatives, and it does not work. If someone has a bank loan can not think - "I have to earn to pay the loan - $ 50 000" - a mistake. You need to think "I earn $ 50 000." Purpose is very important and easily make a mistake.

I can make excellent hypnosis recordings, binaural beats tracks and many other useful products.

I can't build sales funnels to sell the blessed things and I can't find people who want to join in and help create the business

should I focus on creating more audio? How does that help me?

Only you can answer the questions as to what you should do but I bet there are ways you could sell what you make and keep making more. Maybe you can teach hypnosis? Maybe you can hold sessions to help people? Google it and find out what answers you find. Your ideas are only limited by your imagination.

I am already a professional therapist so I already "hold sessions to help people"

I am trying to build an online business to sell large quantities of my material

Then advertise them for sale in as many places as you can. Use sites such as Craigslist and Gumtree and other classified ad sites. Advertise in this forum. Maybe even develop your own affiliate program and get others to sell for you. Contact other website owners and see if you can advertise on their site and offer a commission to them. You have plenty of options.

Yes, focusing on what we can do is HUGE. Quite often the focus on what we can't do totally distorts what we think we are incapable of when in fact, we can probably accomplish a certain task in a totally unexpected and creative way

    Thanks for the reminder!

Exactly true! It is not healthy when you are trying to focus on things that you cannot do and you don't like.

Always use the word "How" instead of "Why". Learn from mistake not lay blame on something. If you find excuse to cover your mistake. You will never improve.

Most people think that they cannot live the level of success because they see themselves worse than they are.

The second thing would be the people around them which contribute to a bad self image.

In order to achieve great things, you must be willing to bring insane work.

There is no such thing as something for nothing. Success comes if you have the right kind of goals.

Very agreeable post! It really make sense. There are lots of things going on right now that are not particularly pleasant or enjoyable. Many of those things though are out of our control. What we can change and what we do have control over is how we think, approach things and apply solutions. These are the things we usually deal with daily in our lives.

    Thanks,

But its not bad to challenge ourselves from things we can't do or we fear of. It would be a great achievement if you were able to surpass such challenge.

Hello! Yeah, I couldn't agree more. if you focus on the thought, I can't do this, you'll never really going to be able to do it. While, if you focus on the things you really can do, you'll never have problems. Try to think and look at things more positively.

I recommended him "Secret" About a year later he told me he has clear his debt. He always focus on DEBT instead WEALTH. This movie change his mindset. I believe most of you watch it before.

When I was a Team Manager and a Partner Tech Lead for a BPO, I was always told and I was always telling my team members to focus on the "controllables" - not on the un-controllables.

I guess it's best for me to say this for newbie IMers. You need to make the most out of what you have as of the moment. I have this belief that most, if not all, people know that "maximizing what you only have" is a common sense kind of thing. Perhaps, it's just a norm that people complain that they don't have this and that that's why they can't reach their goals. Instead of dwelling on what you don't have or on what you can't do, maximize your potential profits on what have or on what you can do. With this mindset, you'll see that your resources will continue to grow.

I totally agree with this post. All that time and energy wasted on thinking about all the things that you can't do could've been used on things that you know you can do. Plus it would be more productive as well.

  • I super agree! lets focus on what we can do but later on when u have more time , u can do on things which is hard for u to do.. its about facing it and practice!
