FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL

Fear is nothing more that False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear keeps us in the background. It tends to convince us we can never achieve our dreams, goals and aspirations. It tells us to keep quiet and separates us from the thing we love. Fear has an unparalleled ability to squeeze us in our tracks and limit what we are willing to try. As a matter of fat, fear makes us live a small life.
Fear can be defeated because fear is a learned reaction. My coach once told me that we are only born with two fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud voices. Every other fear we have is learned like the fear of rejection, the fear of failure, even the fear of success. Does that sound incredible? Yes, it is. In order to defeat fear, all you have to do is to learn to manage it. I have read Zig Ziglar on numerous occasions saying "courage is not the absence of fear but the master of it".

Yeah you are right that fear can not be removed from your life. What you can do is know how to deal with it and keep it under control so that it cannot take over your life, and this way you can persist towards your goal.

To continue working towards your goal, you need to master fear. Courage is the antidote of fear. Courage and confidence comes from education and experience, and also knowing what skills are required to work towards your goal.

Learning to manage our fears is a major key to life. Fear can help alert us to dangers, hurt, even death. It can also hold us back from realizing our true potentials.

Knowing when to listen to our fears and when to ignore it and take action anyway is my definition of a successful life.

I never came across that definition of FEAR before, but then now that I look at it, feel it is so very apt. Most of us never leave our comfort zone for the fear of failure and this is the same for every other fear we have. History has seldom been created by people who stuck to their comfort zones. Its the ones who ventured out to the unknown to experience success or failure enriched their life and ours.

      Thanks for starting this thread.

I listen to my intuition quite a bit .. and the kind of fear thay my intuition hits me with are risk management fears .. like hey should put your seat belt on right now..and slow down a bit we can get their going 70 don't need to go 85 ..thats like a 300 dollar speeding ticket ...

but it take time to pick out the messaged of loving guidance from the more darker forces that give you fear messages ..in order to control you and keep you from growing and being more of yourself ..

i know that gets into conspiracy territory .. but much of our fears are implanted and fed to use from several sources to keep us from doing the best things for us and living great lives ..when you learn to hear those messages and block them out .. it becomes teribly hard to watch tv .. because unless your watching cooking shows ,, most of the programs are laden with fear based messages

You learn fear because our brains are structured to develop instincts when we have bad input in situations. When negative input is received once or twice in association with something, that thing will make us perk our ears a little bit - but if that negative input is received repeatedly, our bodies will actually develop a chemical response - a "flee" response to that thing.

You're body has to learn to control the chemical release long enough to overcome the instinct, that is, to unlearn it.
