insanity is doing the same thing over again and again and trying for a diffirent result ..

fail make adjustments try again.. fail get new information make adjustments .. try again ..

many times or most of the time blindly digging in the same dierection without any feed back or attemps to adjust.. just ends up in a deeper and deeper whole ..

I would use a similar quote when I would present a research study I did on dropout prevention. The quote was from Thomas Edison,

Thats cool a picture for sharing, its a lot like the "acres of diamonds" story or how Tony Robbins always says that 90% of people stop when they are only inches from success, (which is a statistic like many in personal development which probably has little basis in fact, but sounds pretty good)

that's true, it happen to my life to.. this is hard to live it.. i nearly giving up.. but i don't know where's my strenght come from, but i rised somehow and try to continue living

Really great point! In fact, most people wants to gain success but they use to give up if they experienced the worst case scenario. Without knowing that it happen for a reason for them learn more things. Set your mind to welcome mistakes and make a permission to learn from it. Giving up for me is another call for failure.

I'm going to make this my wallpaper so that it can motivate me everytime.

Awesome Picture! I have seen it before. The message is very powerful, If you have worked so hard up to this point to achieve success, why not keep going? This is why making sure you finish what you set out to accomplish no matter what is a good habit to develop.

The one thing I always keep in mind though is making sure you work smart and not just hard. Making sure you are heading in the right direction is essential because otherwise it will be a waste of time after all.

Thank you for sharing that picture, I will not forget it. I do not believe in giving up but but but, when it comes to traffic on my site, i feel like giving up. i feel like I am writing articles for myself. I do not seem to know what markting strategy to use. I don't think I will give up but I do surely feel like that guy on that picture and can therefore understand him. His only problem there was nobody like you in his life to encourage him to continue.

The image is so motivating.Think and grow rich has a similar story.Never give up as you can leave success when you are very close.

And just think of how greater the reward will feel if you just force yourself to push a little bit further....

As long as we are alive, anything is possible. Only dead people are allowed to give up. In this thread I have found a lot of valuable reasons to encourge myself not give up.

What a nice picture in support of your writing! It's sometime really tough to keep faith on own's ability. After trying lot of days, most of the time when we lost is just for not giving another try. Thanks for the nice post and for the picture as well.

Well, it can really be hard to think that you're only inches away from success when you're feeling frustrated. I've been there.

I think the key thing I learned was to just work and do a lot of it. When I work, I don't think of the results and by golly... the money comes.

When I don't work and just keep looking at my stats or rankings in Google, I get frustrated and angry if I don't see results even though it's only been a week.

You have to somehow find a way to enjoy working hard and focusing on your business. You have to see that this online thing is an art; a skill that has to be learned.

When you think like this, you won't really feel too bad about the results not coming yet because you know you will get it soon.

Things will just click for you. Self-discipline, motivation (a.k.a inspiration in my vocabulary), and focus are key elements to make a lot of money online.

Just speaking from experience.

Giving up has never heard a positive side that a remember of unless it is giving up cigarettes

I just wanted to add a thought: It depends! In the OP image we can see the diamonds, so everybody thinks: "I want to be the first guy" - he is almost there...The problem is, we take this image and apply it to our present situation - where we cannot see the diamonds! Many of us say that we can "almost smell it", but...

...if digging in this direction leads nowhere, than all that work/time/energy will be wasted!



This is not to take away anybodies motivation! I still like the image in the OP. Just to make you think. It is not a matter of giving up IM altogether. Once in a while you should just step back, see why something is not working - as expected by you and to attack the problem from a different perspective or to change your expectations

What I have noticed when consulting businesses and getting to know their stories of why they are struggling and usually feel like the only solution is to give up, is that those businesses never created a strategy.

In contrast, businesses that took the time to write a thorough business plan are much less likely to face that emotion (of giving up). Instead at times of facing challenges, they refer back to their original business plan.

Lol..I did not need to read whole post, the picture was worth a thousand words.

Yes the picture is motivating, and one should not give up so easily, however as we go along any path, we need to be aware and evaluate the results we are getting and determine if it is the right path.

If you find you are on the wrong path, then giving up is the right thing to do. However you cannot give up trying. But you need to start a new path based on the things you learned from the previous experience.

Just be careful, starting a new path every time you reach an obstacle gets you nowhere, insisting on continuing the wrong path gets you where you don't want to be.

The trick is having the wisdom to determine if you are on the right path or the wrong one.
