Experiencing More Peace Of Mind

Because I've been enjoying so much more happiness and peace of mind¾I thought I would share with you what I believe are the reasons for this change. : )

...

1. "Become an optimist / positive thinker"

I know from experience that it can take it's toll on your mind when you're constantly thinking negative thoughts. By becoming an optimist, however, not only will you enjoy more peace of mind, you'll also attract more of what you want from life. Thinking negative thoughts is like planting weeds in your garden and allowing them to grow.

2. "Forgive others"

I think you should forgive other people because it's the "right" thing to do. However, an unexpected benefit of the forgiving process, is that you'll experience more happiness. As it's been said before: "Holding resentment is like eating poison and waiting for the other person to keel over." Put down that bag of useless rocks and continue your journey undeterred.

3. "Help others"

Helping other people can do so much for your happiness and self-esteem. "The willingness to share does not make one charitable, it makes one free." And freedom is what you'll experience. : ) Thinking about how you've helped another person (or many persons) is a wonderful feeling to have.

4. "Forgive yourself"

A fact of life is that we all make mistakes. There comes a time when you have to forgive yourself for those mistakes. Everyone does the best they can with what they have at the time, and no one is expected to be perfect. As I once heard: "God doesn't require that you succeed, only that you try."

5. "Actively follow your dreams"

For me an important part of being happy is following my dreams. I think that "success" is doing whatever makes you happy. And, if you're doing that, then great. However, if you want more in life than where you are right now, then I think you'll enjoy more peace of mind when you know you're doing your best to make the life you want happen. : )

...

I hope you've found this post helpful.

When something unwanted happen nothing can really give peace to mind, sorry to say. Though your discussed techniques are nice, but are those always work?

      Hi prismkuet,

I disagree. When something “bad” happens you have the choice to look at it positively.

As Napoleon Hill said: “Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.”

Though your discussed techniques are nice, but are those always work?
If you're not doing them already (or you're not doing them very much) they will _definitely_ contribute to your peace of mind.

I used to think negatively, hold grudges, etc. So I know for a fact that they work. : )

    4. “Forgive yourself”
... and don't be haunted by your past. Let it go, and do the best for today.

Also, live life as there's no mistake. I get this from "This means war" movie.
