Do you really believe in yourself?

I find that most don't believe in themselves. I decided that I wanted to become an airline pilot one day. I did not go to the military. I just had a dream. I made it. Watch this a find out if you believe in yourself.

I think believing in yourself doesn't necessarily mean you'll succeed, but not believing in yourself definitely means you won't.
    Thanks for the vid!

      Well phrased here.

Understanding your situation, acknowledging that you are not happy with it, taking stock of what resources, assets, and abilities you have, knowing what you need to change in order for a positive outcome to occur, and then taking focused full fledged action are the most important steps to enacting positive, life altering change.

      Keep kicking butt.

      Warmest Regards,

You gotta not only believe in yourself but believe in your dream and that you can do the hard work necessary to make it real.

I think believing in yourself is one crucial step to your definition of success. The next step is taking responsibility for yourself, and know that your life is in your hands only.

Sometimes you don't have to believe in yourself. There were many times in my life when I wasn’t sure if I would succeed.

You just have to decide what you want to accomplish and then start taking action. Then, when you start succeeding, you'll start believing in yourself more. : )

    ...

Harry Potter is a good example: He didn't believe from the beginning that he would triumph over Voldemort or the confrontation that faced him -
It’s something he developed as the journey progressed.

Another example is Neo from The Matrix. He didn’t believe in himself (or that he was “The One“) however, again, in time, he believed in himself and what he was supposed to accomplish.

I'm not sure fictional characters are good examples or proof of anything...

Well that's where we differ¾ I learn a great deal about life (etc.) from watching good movies.

I think to succeed we need to start believing in ourselves.

Most people do not succeed in life, because they think they cannot do it, or they are not good enough, etc, etc.

We have to step out of the comfort zone, and get the job done.

    Thanks for the thread.

Great video. I'm glad that you put that things will come against you, but if you keep believing through that you will make it. (Although it's not always easy)

Believing in yourself is not the whole story. The assumption here is that you believe you can do what you desire to do. What you believe about yourself is also important. What you tell yourself is even more important because you come to believe whatever it is you tell yourself often enough.

If you don't like what you believe about yourself. Change the story. Tell yourself something you do like. Even if you don't really believe it at first. Keep telling yourself that, and notice how things around you start to change. The time will come when you do believe it. Then you're heading in the direction you want to go. Not being in conflict with yourself makes the journey so much easier.

In most cases, I know that I can do it but I always lack the confidence to let others see what I am capable of. I guess I am one of those people who are afraid to make mistakes. I've always been living my life on the safe side and I don't like to take risks. I hope I can find enough courage to get out of my shell and be more adventurous.

If you always feel insecure about your actions that means you don’t believe in yourself. But believing in yourself is important. It does guarantee that you will be successful but lack of it confirms that you will not be. It creates stress that will add health issues.

If you believe in yourself then you are very confident to achieve any target. Confidence is something which always with you and believes you that you can do it. On the other hand, if you don't have believe upon yourself then it shows you are not confident.

Of course I believe in myself and I'm quite confident that if I ever didn't, all I would have to do is pinch myself to discover that I am verifiably real. :p

If I won't, who will. Belief in oneself is the hallmark of a healthy ego. I admit, it is a struggle, though.
