Enthusiasm- Necessity for success

In the book "15 Laws of Success", author claims that enthusiasm is a must have quality in one's behaviour to become successful.
But how to become a person of an enthusiastic nature?
What does enthusiasm mean actually?

    Literally enthusiasm means a feeling of excitement; overflowing with eager enjoyment or approval; a lively interest..But come to think of it, without enthusiasm you will not feel successful in your life. In other words if you are not happy with your job or with whatever you do in life you will not feel successful. Always remember give your best in everything that you do.

    yes.without enthusiasm your energy level will not increase.be enthusiastic in your whatever it may be.may be a high job or small job..just be enthusiastic.that makes your mind and body healthy.that too makes your surroundings to be happy

    I totally agree...Enthousiasm is the key for success...I would add that appreciation could help someone to get enthousiastic..Appreciation for what someone has achieved so far in their life, the people that support them..the experience gained on their jurney....
    Everyday is a new day for someone to get closer to their goals....

    Enthusiasm is also contagious. If you are enthusiastic about your business, product, service, etc... then others are more likely to become enthusiastic with you - whether as a buyer, partner, affiliate, etc. Much of the feeling stems from your belief in yourself and your business. Believe in what you have, and the enthusiasm should follow.

      Enthusiastic is a part of high energy on yourself.
      When you have high energy, you wanna to do something with most of enthusiastic to done them.
      That high energy is controlled by you. You can raise your energy whatever you want.
      By do anything that increase our energy for example: music, exercise, relax, motivation video... anything else that help.

      This. Although to be honest, I don't feel that enthusiasm is necessary to become successful. It's just one of those things that self help writers like to throw out because it sounds nice. Plenty of people go about jobs and careers that they find perfectly ordinary. It doesn't bum them out, but it doesn't exactly command their full attention 24/7 either. They rise through the ranks simply because they did their jobs, and reach that level of "success" that everyone is chasing.

      It's a great quality to have, but it really isn't necessary for everyone.

        You may be thinking like this because you are not of an enthusiastic nature. This is what I used to think to just pretend that I'm good without enthusiasm. But actually this is the quality that I sometimes miss too much. People like a person with enthusiastic nature. You dont want to sit quite among 4-5 people. YOu need to talk something interesting and keep the people interested in your conversation and personality and not not be like a boring person.

    Enthusiasm without endurance leads to failure and I think it is one of the great downfalls of many new marketers. Enthusiasm by itself is will get you no where because it is usually be too short lived to see results. Combined with endurance, perseverance and mite bit of creativity and you can achieve anything.

    People who try to boil down success into overly simplistic formulas are usually trying to sell you something.

    I think enthusiasm can be useful, but you must be responsible and set your goals. Enthusiasm is only small part of the success. Much more useful is creativity (e.g. brainstorming)

    Enthusiasm to me means passion. I'm watching wrestling with my nephew right now, talk about enthusiasm.
    Napoleon Hill recommends "having a good hearty laugh for one minute" when you begin your day. If not at the beginning at some point. Family Guy is one f my go-tos
