At the end of the day, who can you really count on when it comes to something important? I don't mean someone helping you monetarily, or providing emotional support. I'm talking about your life, and your lifestyle. Your families lifestyle.

Some people might inherit a fortune, or have a driven sibling whom with they share a family business. Some people get lucky playing the lottery, playing poker, or even being at the right place at the right time to land that "dream" job.

The above are just a small fraction of a percent of what is really going on in the world. If you want something in your lifetime, you better put your boots on and KNOW that YOU are going to be the one that goes out there and gets it.

Getting motivated can be hard sometimes, and staying motivated can be even harder. But there are some people out there that have so much will power, so much dedication, that once they set their mind to something ... you can pretty much consider it done.

You know ... I have no military background myself, but I hear that many marines share this mentality that I just described. They say it's a mistake to tell a marine that they can't do something.

So what separates a marine from everybody else? I'm sure they have hardcore training, and are filled with passion and ambition from the Corp. They took a huge step when they decided to join what is arguably considered the toughest military branch in the US.

Then there is someone like me ... never really was a military type guy. It's not that I don't have the discipline, or the will-power ... it's just that I have my own take on life, and I'm too stubborn at times. Once I'm convinced of something, it's gonna be really tough to change my mind.

I have been using this to my advantage. I have convinced myself that I alone am going to be the difference maker. I am going to be the guy that shapes my families future. Will I leave behind a Dynasty? Or just the cars and a house?

I have already taken things to a level I never thought would be possible. Now that I have breached that barrier in the sky, and have had a taste of outer space ... I'm addicted. I know that every day I wake up, I will reap rewards from the day before, the month before, the year before. I know that every night I go to sleep, my pillow feels that much softer, because I know that I spent my day turning my hill into a mountain.

I just wanted to share my thoughts with my fellow warriors this evening. If you guys take action on your life, and realize that you alone are what is going to make you successful, you're onto something. It doesen't matter what angle you pursue, what job you have, or who you know. All of this can change, and WILL change when you make it so.

Believe in yourselves, work hard EVERY day, and bask in the glory that will be yours.

Cheers

self empowerment starts when you stop giving your power away to the 50,000 thing you give your power away to in a week..

some guy cuts you off probably having no clue he cut you off ..and you spend the next few minutes stewing about it or even worse as you get more people cutting you off ..giving away your precious mental energy ..

most people write goals but turn around and give a lot of their power to why they can't do it , then go into a spiral and listen to people beat on them for not doing it ..

take your power back from beliefs that don't serve you, habits that don't serve you ,egoic self images that don't serve you, and purge those (non family)from your life who take your power..who are happy to see you fail so they don't have to make themselves better..

Chris you look like your in that process ..I myself have to reclaim my power from major core beliefs that no longer serve me .. but it involves collapsing and walking away from everything i have been ..and even getting far away from my family ..

Brian Tracy said, brilliantly in my opinion, that the turning point in every successful person's life was when they realized that they were 100% responsible for their life and their experience and then they went to work to create the life that they truly wanted. That is the definition of self-empowerment to me..doing what you want with your life.

Yes indeed. Another way to put it is "owning your circumstances". Be they good or bad, be they deserved or undeserved, be they just or unjust, be they due to genetics or circumstance, they are yours. Own them, regardless of anything.
