The Success of Your Day Is Won Or Lost Here...

There's a common thing that many successful people do to maximize their productivity each day. I don't see this talked about very much, so I'll mention it here, because I think it's really, really important:

The success of your day is all decided at the end of the previous day. Specifically, when you take the last 30-45 minutes at the end of your work day to determine what you're going to accomplish the next day, in the form of a checklist, you will not start the following work day scurrying around, trying to figure out what to do during the critical, early morning work hours. You will greatly stack the deck in your favor when you plan your work day the night before, instead of during the following day when you should actually be working.

There are a few other things that you can do to set yourself up for success the night before. Some of these things might include:
-Cleaning and setting up your coffee maker the night before.
-Preparing the food you'll be eating the next day
-Getting rid of any clutter that accumulates during the day...there's nothing worse, in the area of productivity, than having to devote important work hours to getting yourself organized.
-Handling any other things that have the potential to interfere with your important work hours, such as paying bills, house chores, or any other things that have crept their way into your working hours in the past.

Set your day up to be a productive one by getting all of your ducks in order the night before, and you'll be amazed at how much you can accomplish during your peak working hours.

On a related note, if you find yourself regularly getting distracted by certain websites (maybe ones that rhyme with "SpaceCook"), set yourself up for a more productive day by blocking yourself from these sites. Here's a video that shows you how to block websites that you don't want access to from your computer:

Don't worry, it's very easy to undo this, but undoing this is just inconvenient enough that it won't be worth it to take the time to undo this during your work day. Very often, we tend to subconsciously click onto websites that we know are time wasters. Putting this simple block to the sites that don't help us during the day is a very effective way of interrupting this pattern of habitually going to websites that take us off task.

Im sure this method work for a lot of people and that Im happy about, it doesnt work for me at all however. I start everyday like it was my first, yesterday doesn't exist. I do my what to do list while im eating breakfast because that when I feel that im most creative, least stressed and my head is all clear .
