The article was written to post in this thread but it turned out to be too large and was posted as a blog instead.

You can read it here http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/no...eally-man.html or just click blog in my profile.

Hopefully, nearly everyone is trained to consider the consequences of their actions. It's why we punish children for doing wrong and it is why we market products online.(we consider the results of that action). And no, payng taxes s a forced requirement that in no way gives you any share in the blame for your countries ills nor any glory for its ideals. Tax paying is simply something that congress requires us do and has the force of law on their side, se we must do it. Drinking alcohol does not make you responsible for what others do when drunk and learning to use a knifee or a gun does not make you responsible for the actions of any other gun users or knife users either.

Why aren't we responsible for our country's actions? Why aren't we responsible for what others do when we tolerate alcohol, wealthy pariahs, wars, etc. in society? Why aren't we to blame when weapons are used against innocent people?

Again I ask the question are humans really intelligent?

    Norma,

Perhaps it helps to remember the simple kindnesses that ordinary folks do for one another every day.

One thing about mankind - it knows how to find what it's looking for. If it's war, greed, cruelty... you'll find plenty of it.

But there's also beauty, goodness and people passionate about leaving the planet in a better state than they found it.

Of course, I know that you realize this... and I understand that you're entitled to a good old rant like anyone is... All the same, if I spent my time focused on how many times I've been royally screwed over by the government, losers, deadbeats, cheaters, liars, and scumbag miscreants I'd never get out of bed.

    Best,

    Brian

Yes, I appreciate what you are saying but what is happening to the planet will override everything that is good and beautiful. Those who are passionate about leaving it in a better state, as you put it, are just silenced, condemned and inactivated by those who can only see dollar signs or who are addicted to something that removes their focus from life itself.

A case in point happened just a few days ago. For years those who care for the environment have begged our government to make cargo vessels go out to sea instead of traveling through the Whitsunday Passage and over the Great Barrier Reef that is a major environmental necessity. Did anyone take notice? No! Some professor or other (and there are plenty ready to give credence to the big end of town) satisfied the government that it is safe for vessels to do so.

Now the reef has been flooded with oil from the ship's tanks. Rare turtles, bird life and other animals are being murdered off because of it. Many turtles were up on the sand laying eggs when the oil hit the beaches. You can imagine what happened to them.

Why can't we take more care of where we life and why is nature used to promote power and wealth for the pariahs who don't give a damn?

If this is a rant then I am sorry but I see it more as a wake up call.

      God bless

    Norma~

I understand the message you are sending and I agree with you and feel that what you say is correct. Its very sad to see some people not understand the significant part they play in the world. Sometimes, conversing with other people about the direction we are heading puts me in a solemn mood and it takes a lot of effort on my part to think positively again.

The overall message I received is the general race of humans are victims to lacking foresight, therefore affecting everything on a negative level. Together, we have all created a very bad stream of karma! Did I understand you correctly?

Before I started working on the internet, mainly involving overall health information, I used to be a restaurant manager. Its so strange how a very stressful and emotional environment can show you the instant affects of karma. I've seen the immediate affects of one strong-willed good person entering the work environment and changing every person's mindset to be a little kinder and give a little more. Obviously, there is a plethora of the reverse situation, but I noticed a much larger overall impact with the first. Still, you sometimes meet certain people in life that plant seeds in your mind that help you grow in a different direction. People do need a rude awakening and people do need to be taught.

With all the passion you contain for this subject, I feel you may be able to play a large role in the reformation of man's mindset. For instance, if every person continually made a small effort to give back, all those small efforts equal a very large effort, but like everything else to begin a project with the intent of leaving long-lasting effects we all must start small. Do you agree?

After reading your blog post, I hope to see you take all that passion and spread your message with care. It only takes one person to begin making a large difference.

    Thank you for the thoughts.

    Kindest Regards,
    Monique Abrams

Yes, Monique, you did understand me correctly. And yes, I do agree with the above sentiment. Little people like us cannot change what governments do but we can change what people do?

We can protest to the right people and if enough protest then governments have to act. Its called people power.

Money is not real, its imagination, yet it is destroying the world. How many times are you hearing about the effect of 'talking up' the economy. We can't eat it, breathe it, or drink it yet it is the most desired thing man has created. Without it we would still survive and probably live healthier, happier and in a more balanced environment.

That does not mean that I am advocating that money is not important now in life in general but it is the means by which some become strong and others weak, some powerful and others subservient, some very rich and others very poor. It is the tool of the wealthy over the servants and it makes all of us slaves to its whims.

It makes us forget what is really important - living. And it destroys faster and more devastatingly than any disease or even all the diseases combined. It hooks people to its vehicle quicker and more tenaciously than any drug and even all the drugs combined.

People kill for it and now they are killing the whole world for it.

Those above who say that people can be kind to each other overlook the fact that we are NOT kind to ourselves. We cannot escape taking in the poison and we swallow bitter pills for the sake of promises and hot air.

Well, I use myself to be the most intelligent because I can work without any supervision. And I can be independent on my own.
