True Story-Don't Ever Give Up

I thought i should post an inspirational/motivational video on never giving up. I do understand that IM can be a little overwhelming and results tend to be repelled by your imagination, but if you decide to be the 10% of IM's that do succeed prepare to encounter some bumps and huddles along the way, road blocks will in turn make you an appreciated Internet Marketer.

Most people quit as entrepreneurs in a very short time. One of my programs I promote lets me see when people log in. Most people I brought in quit within their first 2 weeks. Every single person except one quit within 3 months. Its sad but the people who NEVER GIVE UP are the people who live their dreams.

That is interesting. Most people would put them quiting down to the "programme or software or ebook not being good enough" - I think when people realise there is a lot of work involved they decide its not to them, there seems to be an illusion that making money on the internet, is somehow different than making money from any traditional business. It takes hard work, determination, and you are going to fail quite a few times.

Yes that is all well and good and Derek Redmond was very brave to continue and finish the race. However, on the other side he could have done more damage and never have raced again.
Could be the same as IM if you carry on after failure can it do more damage?

More like 10,000 unsuccessful attempts of inventing a light bulb... but he was reported as saying that he never considered any of them a failure.

He said each one was a discovery on how to not create a light bulb that he could cross off his list and that each one brought him closer one step closer to success.

To do that 10,000 times takes determination, perserverance and a strong degree of faith that you will succeed. Just like the video... he had the determination that we was going to finish - he was not going to be an eternal starter but a true finisher, and to be a finisher sometimes (if not everytime) we need real support along the way.

I'm sure Edison's wife was quite a lady too.

Sometimes when we someone that we consider has succeeded we don't see the struggle they've endured and the love and support that has kept them going. We think it must be easy, as they've cracked and when we try and struggle we must not of chosen the right thing to master - a delusion of the 'push-button syndrome'.

If there is no struggle, there's no growth. If there's no struggle we can not inspire those around us. If there's no struggle there's no need for loving support to help us along the way.

It's all part and parcel of the magic of life and IM.

Thanks for the video - a great inspiration to start my day. Love this thread.

You can never try enough. You know you are serious about something when you keep trying without caring if you have failed for the umpteenth time.

The video is inspirational BECAUSE he still continued to run not because he gave up at the slightest feeling of pain.

      Thankyou for that video.

Quitting will never get you anywhere - except to the next project or stage in your life. Sometimes quitting is definitely the best option.

There is an energy to quitting though. No matter what you do..or don't do there is an energy that supports/underpins this.

In other words its the driver.

Taking deliberate and concerted action to succeed means that failure is inevitable along the journey - but the energy behind that, if it is a 'can do' or winners/achievers energy, will make good decisions about whether to carry on or to cut losses and move on.

The same mindset or ego based attitude that says quitting is not an option, but does not commit to strategic action is the same energy - in other words ego supports the continuation of failure and fails to acknowledge whats really going on.

Sometimes in life you need to know the difference....

Really inspiring! It is almost always difficult to start out especially with IM. Some people are not seeing any success in years, some even in ten years, but they keep pushing toward success and eventually if they work hard enough they will succeed. Most important thing for newbie is not to jump between different IM niches. When I started out I attended to do a bit blogging I didn't see any success in a week so I jumped to video marketing. Nothing was good there to so I moved on to social marketing and so on... Find out a niche which currently works and work with it until you see the money.

What strikes me is the incredible wisdom of the Father in the video - he had to break through security and climb over at least one fence and probably almost got arrested but he wanted to show his son that there was more to life than just this one race and that he and others were there to help him keep moving forward.

Of course it was the sons' decision to keep going and the Dad probably wouldn't have come out onto the track if he hadn't - he saw that courage like that couldn't be denied but must be supported.

You are absolutely right, the same concept applies to the warrior forum there are some warriors in this forum that will help you and advice you on the days you feel like quitting, they are like a stepping stone to your next level of success, but above all we all have the ultimate comforter who keeps us at our right state of mind, when we feel like all hell is about to break to loose, and that's our heavenly father.

It is even far better never to have started something ,than stopping to continue when the result has not been achieved.Nothing good comes easy,so said my mother.Know what?I believed her 100%.

But also he didnt quit like some does in real life, he stayed strong till end and he did finish and he made his finish with honor and respect.

I admire him for not giving up even if its painful. What matters most is that he was able to finish the race he may not be the winner but he did everything he can to make it to the finish line. You know, about five years ago when I first started online, it was a whole new language (just like any new job is), but when I finally learned the language and it all began to make sense, it was SO rewarding to actually make money on Clickbank from a purchaser in Australia who needed a dang chicken coop. Incredible! I was hooked for life! And I was sleeping....so I remembered the sales letters of old and knew that at least part of what they said WAS true and I kept on and kept on....Reading and studying and I have found that the secret is...that there is no secret. You have to choose a niche, study it, create products or promote services around that niche and FOCUS and focus HARD and then the money comes. But most of all, providing real value is the secret to longetivity online and in life as well. Treating your list as Friends instead of customers, people you would actually talk to on Facebook. All of that wisdom that has been passed down to us from others has helped me Stay the Course and not give up when I saw lines of 00000s over and over those first two years. Nice to be here with all of you guys and girls! (y'all : )

    - Quitting is not an option. True entrepreneurs never give up. Because if you are willing to have your own business, you have to take the risk, and accept whatever the results are. Nice video clip. It is touching and inspiring. Most of the time we face bumps and even large humps along our journey and sometimes it really hurts us the most when we face rock bottom. But I believe that even though times are tough, look ahead in the brighter future and see how great things could be done if you have acted and stand up from where you have stopped. This movie is a very inspiring and heartwarming story of fighting a good fight.
