Any of you read The Charge?

I have to admit that i was very hyped up with this book with all the different marketers recommending it and when I bought Brandon Burchard's The Charge I was a bit disappointed. I don't know why but to me I wasn't very captivated with his style of writing.

I am not saying it is a bad book but it just wasn't really my kind of book in terms of really getting energy.

However if it is one thing I liked that he said is that every month or every 2 months, try and push yourself to learn a new skill or go somewhere new etc and I liked that concept and I am trying to implement it into my life.

I guess for the price of the book and that 1 concept should make it a good investment for me.

Did you enjoy it?? If so, what was your biggest takeaway from that book?

I am busy reading it, but I must say that I am just reading. Once i read it through will reread it and do the exercises he suggests at the end of each chapter.
I do like it, but if you ask me, all information I knew but refreshing it is a good thing. The bets is to put it in action.
One thing I took away were the three words that you would like to be and the three words you would like the world to see you as.

I liked Brendon Burchard's book, The Millionaire Messenger.
Haven't yet read "the Charge" but those interested can "look inside the book" to get a sample of it over at Amazon. He's a good motivational speaker, so there are probably some good parts in it.

Brendon Burchard provides some very excellent information in the world of marketing, so I personally wonder which he excels more at, marketing or motivation. Part of his marketing plan for books like "The Charge" and "Millionaire Messenger" are to give away copies for free in the beginning to people who subscribe to his email list. He does it in such a way that most people truly feel obligated to give him outstanding reviews since they've been provided what would normally be a paid product from an esteemed marketer, free.

This explains why there's SO many reviews for his books on Amazon.com, and why so many are of the highest praise. This is good for the purpose of selling more copies to others who are interested in the book, but for those who feel let down, I'm sure they may feel a bit misled because of it.

This isn't to say that his stuff isn't good, because he explains things well and has excellent marketing information. I have yet to read The Charge, though I've seen parts of his seminars and videos within one of his more unique, prominent, and expensive products. I can honestly say he knows what he's talking about, though I understand if he doesn't articulate things straight to your heart the same way that Tony Robbins or Kevin Nations does.

I'm busy with a plethora of other self-improvement audio courses and audio books, though before long I'm sure I'll get around to The Charge.
