Yes. Action should be taken, and not be fazed by obstacles along the way! Kudos for a great video!

Great post Justin! The video was fantastic. Too many people hold themselves back from "just doing it" when they know exactly what they should be doing!

You seem like a natural speaker, you have a knack for portraying solid information to others, with the wisdom, through your own actions, that not everything is perfect. When the light went out and you just went to take care of it, it shows that you're not putting on a scripted show, that it's not about being "perfect", but rather that taking action is simply just that, taking action.

Most people get caught up in needing things to be perfect, believing that what other people want to see is a larger-than-life perfect presentation, but what they forget is nobody's perfect, and trying so hard to present perfectly, getting the facts perfectly, speaking perfectly, having the perfect sentence flow, is not what people want. They want someone like them, somebody who makes mistakes and who stumbles from time to time. A person they can relate to.

You're doing well, and I trust that you'll have great success with presenting because you do what you suggest. You take action.

To see this twice makes me feel good about myself.

I don't even view myself as that great of a speaker (although I talk about motivation all the time). I know that I can strive to do better and maybe down the road I could be a speaker similar to that of Jason Fried or Matt Cutts.

Just you seem so natural doing these videos. Did you learn that or you were born with that?

I feel that everything has to be learned in some way or another

Yes, some of us are born with different unique qualities, for example I have a friend who has an AMAZING smile and I can't not smile around him. While I also have another friend who can speak and it makes you tear up because she's so adorably cute lol.

In respect to my own experiences, I honestly HATED doing video when I started online. I had a serious problem with it for more than a year into it even though I would try.

But I was persistent and I'm trying to get into it more and more and don't want to give up on it because I feel that video is an amazing way to communicate an idea, thought, method, and just a very unique way of communication versus text.

Oh and just so I can share this. Everything is content. Remember that

Damn, I thought I was good at flowing on camera. But your recent series of vids have given me something to aspire to. You have that "this is almost too easy" vibe goin' on.

How long does it takes you to produce a video from idea to upload? If you don't mind me asking...

For a 3 minute video it could easily take me a couple of hours. :/ The process usually goes...

I pick a topic, write an outline, rewrite the outline, record about a thousand takes, then edit like crazy, then upload.

It looks so effortless to you. I'm definitely jealous my friend!

Lately I've gotten this new sense of.. just do it.

I've never felt comfortable with video and still feel kind of weird, but I want to help people with my ideas.

A 3 minute video takes exactly 1 take, 15 seconds to download to my pc from my camcorder, and usually 5 minutes to upload to YouTube.

So a total of 8:15 on an average right now.

I usually however record a bunch of different videos at once. So although you may not see them, I'm also recording thank you videos for my clients, personalized videos for partners, and private videos for other things.

I think planning is just too much to get out an idea. I just want to share my thoughts. Later I'll hire someone to edit videos and make them much more fresh and organized, but the big thing that I find is that if you just do it, you might get it right the first time.

Thanks a lot for your feedback I'm really proud of myself with these videos and hope that I can continue to strive to do more.

P.S. HUGE tip. I keep my camcorder on a tripod directly next to my desktop. It's staring at me right now. The second I come up with an idea to share, I stop everything, turn it on, make sure lighting is decent (not amazing though), and press record. So it's a fast process. No setup required anymore

        Hey Justin:
You look natural, but every one always seem to forget about the work that went on behind the scenes to get you to that point. Hats off to you for your persistence

You mentioned you did some videos for your clients. Did you make videos promoting their business, or make videos trying to get clients, or? It sounds like video has helped you succeed in your endeavors.

I'd like to hear your story if you don't mind.

Thanks for the "5 minute motivation challenge" tip!

          Thanks Charlie for the feedback

The videos are actually just private for them. I record a thank you video for each individual client. I also try to do them same day. But lately I've been getting sales and recording the videos and sending them to them in less than 10 minutes after they used my services

I think that's another very important thing that a lot of people need to learn, is to interact with their audience. Don't just sit there and pull in sales, take action and show them you care.

Easy flowing style on the video. The issues/problems sometimes can actually be opportunities to demonstrate how you react in the moment or when things don't quite work according to plan.

    Well done!
