Stress is a part of life, in fact stress can be brought about by any changes happening to us or to our environment. But if you equate stress to problems, then ofcourse we are all looking forward to a problem free life, but then again you know very well that it is not possible even if you got tons of money. I guess what we are all after is just plain and simple happiness.

I highly doubt being rich would make your life stress free... just my opinion.

From my experience and watching other businesses, getting to the point where you're rich seems to be a matter of consistency, learning, adapting, and overcoming obstacles. All of those seem stressful to me, but maybe that's just my personality...

Money brings its own set of problems and stress.

It is better to have the money with the problems than to be broke.

It is nice not to have to hesitate when you want to buy something.

It is nice to be spontaneous and say, hmm I feel like going to Bali for the weekend so you just book a flight and go.

It is nice to easily pay bills.

It is nice to be able to influence people with money.

It is not nice when people are jealous and try to drag you down.

It is not nice having your home burgled by pathetic losers or have your luxury car keyed or damaged by jealous sods.

It is not nice flying into the US on a Sunday and trying to get money out and there is a $300 ATM limit? I mean really, what can I get for that, a bucket of KFC?

It is not nice being the family ATM and these people never call or send you a birthday card.

"Money doesn't always equal happiness, but I'd rather cry in a Ferrari"

Lol but in all honesty, it's important to have a balance of both. While it is true that there are rich people out there who are never truly happy due to work stress or other factors, it truly is possible to be both happy and financially successful. I prefer the words "happy and fulfilled" as it is never actually possible to be stress free, and if it is it might be bad for you. It's actually good to have a little amount of stress as it keeps our minds active and it prevents us from becoming too complacent.

For me personally in my internet marketing career, I make a point to achieve both financial success and personal life fulfillment. Personal fulfillment to me means being healthy, having a supportive and strong relationship with family and friends, and having the freedom to do things I am passionate about. By utilizing certain skills such as time management, working "smart" instead of hard, and leveraging my efforts, reaching a state of both financial security and a great quality of life can be achieved.

Lets say you have 10m in your bank. Are you Rich? How many hours are you working to maintain your lifestyle? Do you spare time for your family? Lets say you have 100m in your bank, and someone has kidnapped your child for money....how much would you give to have your baby back? lets say you have 300m in your bank, and you are blind following a car accident. How much would you give to change this to have your eyesight back?
We can easily give away the money to have back things that are more important in our lives, things that people that are not rich have them too.
I dont think I know a single (money) rich person living a strees free life because he is rich. My grandma used to say '' bigger the ship, bigger the waves''!
We do not realize we are all rich, with real simple things, very important ones, and we take them for granted.
Inner peace gives you stress free life. Peaceful inner self = Happy with yourself = happy with most things in life = being content = Stress Free.
Everyone can be stress free...it is a matter of choice. I like this one:
Your emotions are your inner guidance system....You have, within you, the power to create a life of joy, abudance, and health, or you have the same ability to create a life filled with stress, fatigue, and disease. With very few exceptions, the choice is yours.

Living “The good life” is also about appreciating all your time, not just your leisure time. Far too many people get caught up in the mad rush of a corporate lifestyle and grow completely numb to the little moments, the simple building blocks of time that make life magical. Time, after all, is the single greatest element of life.

I know a lot of people of modest means who are the most carefree, easy-going, optimistic people you will ever meet. They choose to enjoy their lives and focus on the positive things. Allowing yourself to get stressed is a decision, it has nothing to do with money. I think there is a big difference between stress and pressure. Athletes put pressure on themselves to perform but that allows them to rise to the occasion and accomplish incredible things.
My financial pursuits are all about trying to push myself beyond what I thought I was capable of, realizing my true potential.

I think the term rich is a pretty relative term.
What's rich for you may not be for me, and vice versa.

I'm not looking for Laborghini driving, Malibu living, IM lifestyle I see some try to define as rich. (in fact, those dudes kind of tick me off...pretty lame marketing IMHO)

If fact, even if I had the money to do that, I wouldn't.

My motivation is stress free comfort. I'm pretty close to that now with my recurring income etc.. but that's definately what's important to me.

That's WHY they want to be rich. You may be rich... but what happens after that? - You can be... FREE. That's the only thing that can happen.

My answer will be it depends. If I am rich then I won't be stressed as to where will I get the money for my house's monthly amortization or my baby's milk or the money that I should always have in case there is an emergency. However, if I am so rich that it will lead me to the point of fear (fear of losing money), I think it's not worth it.

There are different types of stress. When it comes to financial stress the first and most important thing to do is to eliminate that by earning more money but keeping your essential expenses the same (or lower). Once you have an adequate buffer you can then start to work on increasing your financial income. The problem with most of society at the moment (in my opinion) is that as soon as they make more money they increase their expenses thereby dragging their financial stress with them no matter how much they earn. Big mistake - huge.

At all times you must (try to) keep a fair distance between your essential expenses and your income. Even a millionaire will be stressed (financially) if they make a million but spend a million. I go into this in my book but basically I like to keep my income at least twice as much as my essential expenses (thus "The 2X Method"). That keeps the stress low and even a person on a modest income will feel (stress) free.

As far as idiocy stress goes; mo' money won't make a lick of difference if you're going to remain a fool all your life. Ask me how I know...lol

    Just saying.

    Hey! Don't scare the people!!!
We can always be free from financial worries and live
    stress free life.

Instead of saying stress you out when you become rich,
why don't you say it stretches you out, expands you. Wealthy people
all have their share of challenges but the important thing is knowing
how to deal with them without stressing yourself.

We can take them as challenges and opportunities instead of problems.
If you are stressed then it's not because you are rich or not rich but
that you don't know how to manage your emotional and mental state.
Even if you are financially tight, you can still be calm and do what's most
important right now, what you're able to do right now. But a little bit of pressure
can get creative juices flowing, come up with some new idea. But too much can
    break you.

Having known the taste of both, stress free is far superior.

There are millionaires right now who are contemplating suicide. It is a false idea that money removes stress. While it will remove some kids of stresses, at the same time it will generate all new kinds of stresses, and often those new stresses are more severe than the ones they replaced....

I've been successful financially, but I would rather have the lifestyle. That is my next action; to start creating the life I want to have for me and my family. Good question. I'd rather make $100,000 a year and live and love where i want, than to make a million stuck to my offline clients or even working 60 hours a week at online. Being rich or wealthy is only a means to an end. I think that end, which we all seek is happiness/contentment/peace of mind. There is nothing wrong with seeking wealth, especially if you become wealthy through work that you enjoy. However, if the price of that wealth is working in a job or industry that makes you constantly stressed out and miserable, than it is certainly better to be poor, IMO.

The above being said, I heard somewhere that above about $70,000 per year, more money does not increase happiness. So a person making a good middle income can be just as content and happy as a CEO, and the relative lack of stress in $70,000 per year jobs compared to $200,000 per year jobs may be the reason why the person who makes less money actually enjoys life at least as much as the higher income person.

I don't need to be rich. My friends, not the material stuff, make my life good. 2-3 thousand dollars a month are more than enough for me and my future family (I'm a young guy and I don't have a wife and kid/s yet) to live well. I don't want to drive a brand new Porsche. I don't need to live in a house as big as a football stadium. I just need my future family not to lack anything important because of money deficit. As I already said, 2-3 thousand dollars are more than enough for me to support my future family. F#ck big money. F#ck greed.

There is no such thing as stress free, this is an illusion. Man will always have stresses...

Stress is a result of uncertainty in our lives. The more we feel certain about various aspects of our lives, the less stress we have.

    I choose stress-free.

I literally made this choice when I first launched by business. Getting rich wasn't my first priority, or second, not even third. It was my fourth. It was:

    1) Freedom to choose who to associate with at work as well as in my personal life
    2) More free time
    3) More mobility instead of being forced to live in one geographic location
    4) More money

Too many people are searching for financial freedom at the expense of the first three, when the first three represent what they HOPE the extra money will buy them. I knew that if I got the first three take care of, the money would come, and it has.

There is only one place where you can go if you want to visit people who have no stress: the cemetery.

Want to know what's stressful? Not having enough money to pay bills or put food on the table for your family. That's stress.

One way or another, we will all have stress in our lives. It's just a matter of deciding whether you want the stress that comes from not having enough money or the stress that comes from the added responsibilities of having wealth. Either way, though, we're all going to have some form of stress in our lives. We simply get to decide which form of stress we want in our lives.

A better question to ask is: "How can I create wealth in an enjoyable way, where I'll get paid for doing things that I would do for free, even if I weren't getting paid?" When you can answer that question, you'll be able to create wealth, with as little stress and as much enjoyment in your life as possible.

Depends what your definition of rich is...

Really it's all relative to your situation and the means by which you want to live.

Personally, I want to live comfortably and without financial worries.

I think the two go hand in hand because living stress free means having little to no financial worry...

So if I had to choose ONE then I go with live a stress free life.

I've done counseling with a number of people that have a lot of security through inheritances or earned money and there can still be a lot of insecurity. People have fears of being loved only for one's money and lots of doubt about whether the relationships are genuine.

Byron Katie has an interesting quote on this:

"I've never seen a work or money problem that didn't turn out to be a thinking problem. I used to believe that I needed money to be happy. Even when I had a lot, I was often sick with the fear that something terrible would happen and I would lose it. I realize now that no amount of money is worth that kind of stress."

It's a bit of an odd question. They're not mutually exclusive categories. I would like enough money to have the freedom that comes with that. I suppose having more freedom and control over one's life would help alleviate stress. It's not the amount of money that's important, but the quality of life.

If I have to choose between earning money and living a stress-free life then I would choose the latter. However the first is also important and the second is next-to-impossible. So, there should be a balance.

I think it would depend on what kind of stress we're talking about. Some stress (Eustress) is good. It pressures and challenges you to be at your best and to create and accomplish new goals. There's been a lot of research about men who die shortly after retiring because they eliminate all the work from their life. They have no meaning or purpose left, just a bunch of time and money to spend.

Sounds good if you're busting your ass and broke, but believe me, when you get there it's quite different.

Case in point, when I first scaled down to 20 hours a week and still had plenty of money to pay my bills and to buy the things I wanted, I got bored pretty quick. Since then, I've added a lot of things back into my life that challenge me and create eustress. I think it's important to have it.

Does your goal for making money and removing negative stress include a goal for adding more meaningful challenges into your life? If not, you probably need to re-examine your motives.

    Hello gals and guys!

In order to enjoy stress free life you shouldn't have financial problems. Lack of financial problems removes 99,9% of stress from our lives. So if you have enough money I suppose almost every stress should vanish from your life! But one more thing should be considered into this equation and that is, what type of income do you have? Do you work for money or money works for you? Do you have to go to work every morning or you developed a system which pays you back for life every month without need for you to do much work for it. This type of income is called recurring income. Money that comes every month and you don't have to work for it anymore is something that makes your stress go away. Just imagine how would you feel with something like that? What your day would look like? What would you do, where would you go? Who your friends would be? For instance let's look at some people who has that type of income. Famous actors, musicians, athletes, writers, innovators,... they did something once and get payed for life, right? Actually they did many things during their careers and for each one of them they get payed for life. Those people are people with some special talents. They succeeded to monetize their talents but what we ordinary people without any special talents or knowledge have at our disposal to achieve something like that? The answer is Internet Marketing! Just give it a chance. Breathe it, eat it, live it and yes You could get rich and have a stress free life just it takes work first and enjoy stress free and rich life after :-)!

    Sincerely,

    Franko
