Any starting suggestions for the confused?

I'm new to IM, just trying to get started. I've spent the last two months researching, reading, etc.. The only real start I have made is to set a couple of goals, and become more confused . Long term - financial independence, do what I want to do, work when I want. Immediate short term - catch up and pay the mortgage and the bills..

I lost my job, used up the 401k, am living on unemployment (which is now waiting for the extension to kick in), half of which goes to prescriptions (even generic and all the manufacturer and store discounts), blah, blah, blah....

But with all I've read, reviewed, seen , questioned, etc... I've just become more confused on where to start. Most of the programs that I think would be step by step helpful are too expensive for me right now. The few less expensive (under $100) really don't give step by step information on how to do whatever.

Anyone have any suggestions on which way to go? Any suggestions on programs, groups, etc.. that are not expensive? How did you start?

I am the type to keep determination on motivation going once I understand and get started, it's just this getting started thing...

Start with affiliate marketing. You can learn the fundamentals right here on the forum... or buy one of the multitude of ebooks already available. Also, be sure to learn how to use pay per click (ie: adwords) so you won't lose your shirt.

Once you get good at that, start moving up the food chain.

    Good luck!

I agree with Jay, but in addition, you can open a blog (it is free), post anything there, or fill it with free stuff from public domain. Get google adverts (Adsence) on it and promote it. People are making cool cash from Adsence you know.

You can also get a mentor who will take you by the hand and show you what you need to do. It cost very little in some places.

    To your success.

I know how you feel, I was just there as well - unemployed and worried. Use the forums, it was where I got my ideas. Although I made a couple of mistakes which cost me some hard earned money, I also learned from them. I've been learning that there are a lot of ways to get yourself started without a lot of money, but you do need the time to sift through them. I really like Taiwo's suggestion, look for a mentor. They can help you find focus and not waste your time as well as money.
    Good Luck!

I was right where you are about 3 months ago and the best thing you can do is to keep a positive image of yourself succeeding vividly in your mind. I'm new to this whole internet business stuff too but there are a couple of programs I know of that will get you going right now today. The first program cost $40.00 and if you're as serious as you say you are, you'll make your money back in an hour tops to start making money today in the next hour. The "Got an hour" link in my signature will direct you there.

The other program is triple w dot gbemembers dot com The Greatest Business on Earth. This program cost about $111.00 and can and will be your ticket to all of your financial freedoms if you allow it to be. It is a commodity based business and whatever fears you have or bad things you heard about commodities ignore them as there is "Rich Man" money to be made with 100% limited risk and better yet you pick that level of risk.

But those are my suggestions. Keep your attitude positive and check out the websites mentioned above, they're both well worth your time. And think about using the money you earn from the first program to fund the purchase of the second program. I know you can do it and I'm rooting for you, I'm well on my way to financial freedom and would love to see you break free from bondage as well.

      God Bless,

Thank you all for your advice. It has definitely helped my confusion. I am going to start by starting over and keep it simple to start, I like your suggestions and feel very confortable with them to start. My step one starting over - further research to pick a niche (I've had numerous in mind) and find a mentor.

Thanks again. I'll let you know how it goes.
