The Most Powerful Line Which Changed My Life. An Absolute Must Read.

"Make your move before you are ready"

This is the statement I heard in one of les brown's audio tapes and has literally changed my life. I see myself now and what I used to be a year ago...It's a total transformation only because now I don't wait for the circumstances to be right. I just do what I need to do.

Most of us do not do the right thing just because we feel that the time is not right yet but the truth is...The time is now. You should do it right away even when you feel you aren't ready. This is the only way to get what you want and have no regrets in the future.

This trait is common is almost all successful people.

It is NOT found in almost everyone that is NOT successful.

Look at Microsoft. Look at Apple. They put out stuff that isn't quite ready then tweak it with upgrades and updates.

Look at many of the more successful IMer's. Mass Control 2.0. Product Launch Formula 2.1+.

That line will change your life, but only if you take it to heart and understand and use it.

But don't forget that we aren't always born with that trait/mindset. Some people don't have it, and then learn it at some point, and then with some hard work, they become successful from there.

    Hi Ryan,

Some people tend to wait for everything to be ready before taking action but they tend to wait too long and end up not taking action. By taking action even when things are not ready yet will help us to get things done instead.

As for a line that greatly changed my world and continues to do so to this day 'Feel the fear and do it anyway'...oh I love it!

That line with many others have enabled me to understand that fear is normal, very healthy and common to all but real success comes when you feel it, acknowledge it and at the same time work through it...

Facing fear is one of the most important things a person can do. My experience is that fear is the doorway to greater experience. We get scared sometimes. But when we really stop to look fear in the face and be brave we learn something amazing about ourselves.

It is really true we must move on before we are ready. In our country some people move on only when they are really ready. But in their pride I won't follow them because I usually move on everyday even if I'm not ready. I moved on with my way of interacting people in this internet marketing even though I am not yet ready to talk with them just like you. But moving on is just like you are ready to face challenges in life.

I agree. Sometimes this is called "Fire, Ready, Aim!"
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[664675].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author cncbuss
"Fire, Ready Aim" I believe is the fool's approach to a project which does require some careful planning before commencement. Like the building manager who begins evicting good paying tenants to demolish in preparation of renovations even before having a building permit or before plans are complete. In other words, some things do require some careful planning before commencing.

But I like the phrase "Make your move before you are ready" as it applies to marketing and publicity of online business. Because a lot of people will hive themselves the excuse that they "are not ready" to begin marketing or publicizing or launching a new website when in reality they are nervous about proceeding and the outcome they will get.

Anyhow, I like it. That's my cents.

I feel that action - NOW - is the only thing that will get us where we want to go. So, just do something--if it doesn't work the way you wanted, then change and do something else, but do something! So many times we don't get where we want to go because we never start.

One of the most powerful lines that changed my life was 'you're stupid!!'

As a little boy my dad shouted that out in anger. Consequently I spent much of my earlier life proving that statement wrong .. it took me through 2 degrees and much business success .. he's not saying that now.

The circumstances will never be perfect for anyone. That's why you must act now when you receive the idea. If the idea is as small as 'I should call so-in-so', that you must act.

Your plans will be given to you along the way. The is your 'how do i do it' plan.

This about this. Thomas Edison want to create a brighter world than dealing with the old ways of trying to light up a room. He got an idea about electricity and eventually create the incandescent light. He did not wait for some perfect plan to reach him. Instead he went to work immediately and he wound up going through 10,000 plus experiments before he was able to get this light working.

Those 10,000 different experiments was his 'how'.

Funny thing about fear is that when you really take a look at it the things we fear make no sense.

I find that most of us fail to do things because of fear yet once you adopt an attitude of doing it because you're afraid you will start to be afraid of fewer things and your confidence level grows without knowing.

We all know that a confident person is a successful person. So life seems as simple as making a small change in how you perceive your fears.

Perceive your fears as a challenge that must be conquered on your way to your goals. Instead of a reason not to move forward and you will be a success in no time.

The challenge really comes down to understanding what your fears really are. I find that most don't actually know what they are afraid of.

If you don't know the obstacle is in front of you then how are you ever going to conquer it.

I agree "make your move before your ready."

The statement I heard back in high school from my teacher, and it changed my life instantly was:

yeah this is so true. Every successful person I know, failed their way to success. This is the true secret to getting anywhere in business.

Most people think that they have to start a business and make a million their first year or else. Therefore they procrastinate till this is finished or the timing is right or etc. Meanwhile, they waste time (this is the only true resource that matters).

You have to go out and take action and fail and see what works and make changes along the way. This is a must and no way around it.
