How to make good decisions?

Are you sure you know how to make good decisions?

Everything in your life to date so far has...

...brought you to this moment. This moment. The now.

Wherever you are right now emotionally, spiritually, or indeed financially is the result of decisions you've made in the past.

If you want to be more, if you want to become more or become true to who you think you are as an individual in your own right, in the future it's of paramount importance that you start making decisions right now which will shape your future life.

Everything we do is a result of decisions made in the present and also in the past. Now matters. Now, living in the now, here in the moment is your personal power point.

For in this moment you can decide to either accept your lot in life (and be happy with it) or you can make a decisive firm decision to change your life for the better in some way.

If for example... you're not making as much money as you think you deserve then it's completely up to you to make a decision which will make it happen. Whatever it is for you personally.

You can blame your background, your lack of education, your environment and a myriad other things, fact is, it's you who has brought you to where you are right now.

You want change? You want to make more money, shall we say $10,000 in the next 4 weeks? Then the question naturally arises...

What decision can you make today to make your dream come true?

When you apply laser focus and concentrate all of your energy on a decision made to fulfill a certain goal good provenance always follows.

When you truly align your mental energy with your goal, you will go to extraordinary lengths to be true to yourself.

You are your power. You have an unlimited supply of power right at your fingertips simply by tapping directly in to the energy resources within your own mind. Nothing is stopping you except how you make decisions in the here and now.

Here in the western world we have a quite remarkable distinction from many people living much more impoverished lives elsewhere around the globe. Although at times we may bitch and moan at our respective governments, the truth is you're free to choose to do whatever you choose to do in life.

What a wonderful gift! Yet too often we overlook this and falsely believe that outside circumstances beyond our control are forming and shaping our destiny.

A question...

Where do you want to be 1 month from today?

Another question...

Where do you want to be in 3 months time?

How about a years time, where do you want to be 1 year from today?

Do you want to be in the same situation, suffering frustration and emotional pain, making do, just about making ends meet or...

...do you desire a better way of life?

Whatever the activity is, since for many it's not just about making money, it might be about becoming a better partner to your wife or husband / girlfriend or boyfriend, it might be about learning a new skill, traveling more, meeting new people, giving up smoking, or losing weight, getting fit, whatever you choose with the freedom you have, what it all boils down to...

...is simply making a firm decision to change your life!

If you don't take this decision the only person to lose out will be yourself.

If you don't take this decision to change your life for the better in some way, perhaps in a month, 3 months, a year from now, you'll be exactly where you still are today. And this too will happen directly as a result of a decision. A decision not to act to fulfill your dream. How sad!

For you action takers though, how about changing your life for the better by waking up right now in this instant and committing yourself to one simple exercise?...

"Today, right now, I (insert full name) I'm going to make a firm decision to contract myself to the following action...(fill in the blank with your goal) - May it be so!"

Follow through on this, sure, it might take you out of your comfort zone, this is to be expected, however, either you really want this change or you don't. It really is as simple as that.

Now, since this for the most part this is a money making forum, how about making the decision to really pull out all the stops to bring your real life destiny, a lot closer?

Don't be afraid to take this first step. Have courage, nothing bad will happen. You will always be you - no matter what.

When you take this leap of faith in yourself, when you enact your decision making process with action, great things can and will happen!

Using the $10,000 example (or whatever amount you choose for your particular time frame), who do you need to meet up with or get to know better to make this dream come true?

Start right now, write down a list of the people you need to contact today and start walking in their footsteps! You CAN carve out your own future. You ARE your own power!

What knowledge are you without? Make a determined effort starting right now to acquire the knowledge you need to fulfill your destiny!

Your destiny is your destination. It's your future. You life yet to be lived. The thoughts and actions you take based on the decisions you make in the here and now will affect positively or negatively your desired outcome.

Decisions, decisions, decisions - it all boils down to decisions.

Every little thing we do in life is a result of personal decisions made.

Wishy washy thinking, indecisive thinking, poor judgement, a lack of high quality decision making processes within your own mind will get you nowhere. You are what you feed your own mind.

So give yourself permission to make the right decisions for you which will bear favorable fruit for you in the future.

The more good decisions you make to come true on your life goals, the easier it becomes in the future to make your dreams come true.

Prove me wrong. Try this out for yourself and share with me below your own personal experiences. Or...

...if you have any thoughts on this topic, please do feel welcome to share your opinions below.

I hope this post helps a few of you out.

To your success!

Decisions are often influence by the subconscious mind. Mark, you look like a man with vision and purpose. Unfortunately most people don't have purpose and vision. Some people do make decisions to change but, over time a majority of people fall back in to there old ways and old patterns.

So to add this post, work out what you would like your life will be like. See it, feel it, touch it, taste it. Multiply the feelings of having it now and practice this daily.

This sounds simple and can be easily over look but it has true power. You will realize the remarkable impact this has on you and your life when you do this for just 10 minutes a day. Then when you make a decision to do something or make a change you literally can't stop yourself.

I practice this for 20 - 45 minutes per day

You can literally reprogramme your mind with this and you will shocked on how much you have changed in just a few days.

      Hello Gavin

Thank you ever so much for your wonderful reply. I'll make sure to do just as you suggest only with one proviso...

I actually do my best to do this not just for 10 minutes daily but continuously right through the whole day. From the second I wake up in the morning I can feel my mind whirring away as it builds up steam propelling itself towards full speed ahead.

Do have to watch it mind you during this period when I'm at my most vulnerable (just waking up) for sometimes I catch myself drifting back to old habits. Thinking negatively of myself or criticizing others. Instantly, I go on full alert with a simple command to STOP! the mind in it's tracks. This 'chatter' is something I have no time for.

Immediately I'll take the decision to look at whatever the problem is if it necessitates this action to look at the problem more objectively and from a much more positive position. This process in itself can be good fun and sometimes yields interesting behavior models going on within my own mind in the subconscious. Often these thought patterns on being confronted so will try to hide themselves but I'll drag them out kicking and screaming for a closer examination, immediately replacing them with their polar opposite.

It sounds awfully complicated but is actually very quick and easy to do and dare I say it, today it comes very naturally to me and only takes a few seconds to bring my mind back on track again. The secret is living in the moment, understanding each moment in itself is precious thereby giving myself permission at any one time to live life to the full.

Rather than a chore the exercise is in fact a pleasure for instantly I'm feeding my mind with the mind food it needs to nourish itself to achieve greater things.

Now today, it's a brand new day, I've never lived on this day before. In a few hours time I can choose to change my reality any which way I choose.

This afternoon, do I want to get out there and meet someone with skills not yet in my possession? Whatever this may be, all I need to do is to carry out a little research online, find out where this person or group are and make the conscious decision to go and find them, meet up, strike up a conversation and who knows where this might lead me in the future.

It's wonderful, having the power within you to change your life any one day, any one hour or in any one moment. The world is a beautiful place full of strange, wonderful and amazing experiences. Full of people who likewise are amazing in their own right.

The way we make decisions reflects back on us the future we plan out for ourselves. So if one is stuck in a rut or is riding 'a fairground ride' not of our likeness, by choice simply hop off one ride and choose another.

Some rides in life are exciting. Exhilarating even. And some rides in life are scary. Terrifyingly so. Some are just plain confusing. The way I look at it is, in any one moment I get to choose my own reality. And it all boils down to decisions.

The decisions we make in the here and now bear fruit for what we will personally think, feel and experience in the future.

If we want change, if you want change, simply change your scenery by making a conscious decision to hop from one way of thinking to another. We always, ALWAYS have this choice.

It's about personal empowerment. It's about serving our needs, wants and wishes to satisfy our craving for a more successful future. Whatever this may be in the moment.

Top of the day to you Gavin, I truly hope you're enjoying a wonderful week.

Kindest regards and all best wishes.

Good decisions? That's a third person opinion. Decisions are meant to be beneficial for you and not for others to comment on. If you disagree, then you are just implying that you do the things you do to impress others and not to make yourself happy.

      Would you mind rephrasing this?

All of our decisions cannot be good. We can try but we're not perfect. As long as we learn from our bad choices we make then that's all that matters.

Well, yes and no. In essence you're right but...

...it's not simply about learning from bad choices made in the past.

You see, anyone can learn something but if you don't act on the new information input going in to your mind, this new found knowledge is practically useless.

When it becomes useful by not just learning from these mistakes but inspires within us to make a conscious effort to do things differently next time round, then we can move on to ever greater and better things.

Knowledge without action is about as useful as fish riding bicycles or a bucket load of armpits. Action based on personal lessons learned is what propels you forwards towards fully reaching your potential.

And this can only come about through conscious effort. Being aware of your shortcomings and being prepared to make the necessary changes, burning your bridges behind you and being prepared to pay the full price for your actions in advance.
