Internet Business Knows No Race Or Mistakes
This is a short story but I want to see if people can relate.
When I was 15 in a southern state, as a young black male, I REFUSED to give up my culture to work for someone's business. Rebellious but creative & driven I was since a youth.
To work for someone, I would have to act extremely different than the culture in my soul. Due to my ethnicity, people would be uncomfortable seeing me employed at their business with a hat twisted to the side and baggy clothes ( at the time .. it was 'in' Lol ). Yet, I was the friendliest person from a very multi-cultural family.
SO anyhow, after being turned down by the few place my mom convinced me to try and work........ I continued my hustle with eBay and began making probably $600-$800 a month by my 12th grade year I believe.
The internet gave me opportunity to make money and do business with people around the world, without being judged by my age / race / or background.
I've not been to prison BUT i do firmly believe there should be internet training courses in prison. Make those incarcerated totally able to become a productive member of society. The possibilities i see coming from this are very big.
Anyhow............ Looking back........ I find it funny those companies I applied for could have profited off my 'man power' / energy instead of me.
However, because I stuck to keeping my 'soul' first and was out-casted, it led me to find a career on the web that was paying me more than my parents made by the time i was 20.
(side note: Does anybody else realize "man power" is the most precious energy to life?)
