I have been away for a while, and my trial went completely off course, I wanted to start a clean slate, still 5am, this time, nothing much is happening untill new year, so I should be able to stick with it. I am sorry to all of those, who seemed to take an interest in my previous thread and then it suddenly stopped. But this is a really serious version, and I will put all of my effort into it. So I still have a routine in place for getting up at 5am, but it has slightly changed, I will see if this routine is any better than my last one. It is.
Get up 5am
Awakening phase, brush teeth, hair, drink water, apply moisturiser.
Excercise for 25-40 minutes
Shower
Eat a healthy breakfast
Read some inspiring material
Invest an hour in housework or homework.

It is 8:57am and I will be starting tomorrow (monday), I will post at the end of the day so I can put how productive I was during the day, so my day 1 result will be in rougly 36 hours.

Any suggestions to help improve my trial are always welcome!

    Hi xuled,
People who are interested in doing this experiment for themselves will learn from my mistakes in the trial, and fix them in their own, as I will post any errors I come across along through the trial.

      Day 1= FAIL

I was up at 6am. I haven't had a good day. Work was undone, headaches developed. Just was a horroble day, my headache has started to die down now. Lets hope tomorrow is better

Guarantee of your success lies with your inner conviction that the goal posts you've set for yourself are right. Why am I doing this? Who has done it before? What are the proven benefits I can expect? Etc.
And that's where you have to work the hardest, before launching your mission.
        Otherwise, you'll fail.

Cool one Jake, it's some sort of experimentation and a great way to share ideas.

    Day 2 = Success!!

I woke up at 5am feeling a bit tired to start off with, but once I shut off the alarm and got some light in the room I started feeling more awake, I had a drink of water, which re hydrated me. Today was a lot better than yesterday, work wise, a lot calmer. I got the fright of my life this morning though, when i was working out and saw a spider in front of me.

Let's hope day three is like this, maybe even better.

Good luck with that. I might just try to limit my sleep... stay up late.. and get up... relatively early, but not too early. That way I can be more productive hopefully but not get up too early.

Hey Guys, I know I haven't posted in a while, but the results have been the same, one day fail, next day success, I need to try and make more successes than 50:50s. I have found some good advice along the way though and am going to start implementing them. Like saying your commitments in first person.

What are you looking to achieve by getting up at 5am?

I am looking to achieve better productivity in lots of areas, which I did notice when I used to get up at 5am, some 4 or 5 years ago. Back then I noticed lower levels or sluggishness and grogginess too. So I am trying to get back on track from then.

    You are brave !
I struggle to get up at 8 am and unfortunately I'm more productive at morning. After lunch I procrastinate ...

I think I will set up lower objective and increase over months.
november, get up at 7:30 am
december, get up at 7 am
and so on ... until 5 am !!
