How much time do you spend...

Thinking your future? Your products? Business plan? etc...

Paralysis by analysis is bad, and it is too easy to get into overwhelm, however....

You still need to step back and spend time thinking.

Don't get into the trap of just running your business. You need to grow it as well, you need to keep it moving forward to the future!

Do you know where your business is going?

There's an old blog post by Darren Hardy that tells of his time doing real estate. He was the new kid on the block, 18/19 years old and, because of his age and inexperience, was looked down at.

But he made a point that he will succeed. He bought himself a stop watch and on the very first day he timed himself to see how much time he actually dedicated doing work that makes money.

    The result: 12 minutes.

(Having asked around other realtors, I am told there is plenty of wasting time taken place and not enough direct action to money).

He decided he will start adding onto those minutes and within the year time he was the top realtor in the firm and so on.

The question really becomes - how much time am I spending in money making activities?

FYI - For those who don't know who Darren Hardy is, he is now the Publisher of SUCCESS Magazine, was Jim Rohn's student, blogs at darrenhardy.success.com and a great guy overall.

Lots of time everyday.... unfortunately I am a BIG picture person. I just need to connect these grand ideas to the now.

Thanks all. The key is to remember to keep an eye on the future, while you are still working on today. I run into folks all the time who get wrapped up in the daily operations and soon find themselves in 'job-mode'.

I spend a total of 16-18 hours a day, which includes day to day tasks and my work.

I have a wall in my work space with my goal written on it and I posted some images of my dream cars, house, place, events, etc. We do really hard work and exert extra efforts to make our business grow. We are team of web designer/developer working in one place. We usually have a weekly meeting every Wednesday that's the time we think for our business plans and future plans.

Unfortunately I spend too much thinking about my business and not actually doing things toward making it a reality.
