Has anyone tried this method to manage time?

Given that we're internet marketers, we're all playing a big game. Big games generally require a lot of effort and time. They also can cause tasks to interfere with other tasks.

This has happened to me a bit lately. I was jumping from task to task and essentially not making as much progress as I would like. Then I discovered this method (don't worry... it's free and doesn't require you to sign up to anything!). Basically you just block out 25 minutes and commit to working on that task for 25 minutes, then you have a minutes break. I have seen myself become more efficient. Crazy from something so simple.

Check it out: The Pomodoro Technique®

I've been using it for a few months. It's pretty effective. BTW, you can check out Focus Booster which is a program that works as a timer for the Pomodoro Technique. I use Focus Booster when I do online stuff and a kitchen timer when I do offline stuff.

I agree with focusing and committing to a task for a defined period of time (25 minutes is good). When you make a conscious commitment like that, I believe your subconscious recognizes it and strengthens your ability to perform better.

It's an awesome technique I've been using it since the beginning of the year... and in those 5 minute breaks I've been doing yoga, ti chi, stretches, excersise, meditation, tidying my desk etc
When the 25 minutes finish I stop and am so keen to start again it's such a motivating technique . And in the 5 minute breaks I get so much stuff done and have such a tidy house :-)

    Thanks for the post!

I do 15 minutes blocks instead of 25 minutes. I like to block an hour into 3 quarters of work and 1 quarter of rest.

If there are some chores which I could do right away, I'd list them together and finish it in 15 minutes. If that isn't enough, I'd do another 15 minutes.

Just one thing to note though, try a method several times to make sure it's not right for you. Just trying once or twice won't do any good.
