Reading Genius & Instant Learning

Hello everyone.

I was surfing the arhives section under Self Improvement and found a link on such software programs Reading Genius and Instantspeedlearning.com.

See link: http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/to...OPIC_ID=239692

I've always wanted to learn how to speed read and even though my family and friends tell me I read fast enough as it is, I still feel I need some improvement. Plus, I'm interested in improving my learning ability as well. I've heard great things about Reading Genius, but no one has said anything about Instant Speed Learning.

See Instant Speed Learning link here:

I checked it out and I must admit that I am always a little put off by things that promise rapid and instantaneous results. There are tried and true study methods out there, but you really have to embrace the process and put it to work. I don't feel that these things should come rapidly. I think it takes a little bit of time to train your brain, or re-train it, whatever the case may be. So, this Instant Learning software program put me in the skeptical spot.

1. Has anyone here tried the Instant Speed Learning software program with successful results?

I have the same thoughts about Reading Genius too.

See Reading Genius link:

2. Has anyone had successful results with Reading Genius as well?

I did a few speed reading classes, the main thing I learned was to skim, it works for most things because most things are fluff.

    For good content:
    step by step
    bullets
    todos
    etc.

    it doesn't work

But which one doesn't work? The Reading Genius or the Instant Speed Learning software?

  • I found Reading Genius to be very very effective. The thing that I liked most about Reading Genius 2.0 was both the Gym and the Theatre - software models that facilitate reading and build your brain power.

The author, Ed Strachar also gives some very useful focus, brain building and clarity exercises that I found very very effective. I CAN read a book in a 45min - 2 hrs now depending on its size and my interest and feel i know it quite well, much better than my old way of reading it over a couple of weeks.
