Thinking From Your Future...

Hi

I came across this quote in a book I was reading from old New Thought author Neville - 'make your future dream a present fact'.

Funny how something that is close on eighty years old still makes so much sense!

Of course, we're told that we should believe that we can achieve goals, and there is certainly some validity to 'fake it til you make it' (or fake your belief until you believe it!).

However, taking the roots of the Law of Attraction and the Science of Getting Rich for example, to their logical end, in the areas where things aren't as 'good' as I want them to be, I'm focusing on asking myself...

"How would I act/what would I feel like, if I already had what I wanted in my life?"

Believe me, in a work context especially, it certainly gets you thinking about what the person you want to become would do!

I love the way that you took a new slant on the 'fake it until you make it' belief, because when you actually apply that belief, you know that you are faking it. The same is true with the 'Act as if' principle from NLP, but perhaps I don't understand how to apply that correctly. I really enjoyed this post.
