Creating Change - Why We Don't Change?

This morning I woke up and decided to produce my blog post in a new way.

This will allow me to produce more and better content and probably do it a lot quicker.

I started off strong and then something in my head said - Hold on Here. This is not going to work. Danger! Danger! Danger!

I have heard this voice before and it is probably cost me millions of dollars when I listen to it.

Let's rewind a little bit -

Today, I write a blog post (usually from the top of my head) and then I post it on my blog, on a forum or two and, if I deem it to be of value, I send it out to my list.

On Thursday, I watched Pete Williams and Rich Schefren's livestream in anticipation of the launch of Profit Hacks. In that stream, Pete Williams demonstrated a 12 step process for creating tremendous leverage with your content.

My job would be to create a Mind Map and an audio and m team would take those two pieces and produce videos, podcasts, articles, kindle books, etc.
It would be tremendously valuable and will cost me less money and less time than what I am spending now.

OK, let's recap -
1. I would get 10X the amount of content (probably will get 100X the income over the next year).

2. It will take me less time each day.

3. It will cost me less money that what I am spending today.

Common sense dictates that this is a no-brainer. However, common sense does is not in charge of making decisions for us.

Our subconscious mind is running the show, whether we like it or not.

Our mind seeks routine because routine is safe. Safety is good. Now, although, I was not in any real danger, this reaction was given to us in a period where lions, tigers and dinosaurs were threats to us on a daily basis. We needed to listen to those instincts or reactions or we would die.

Obviously, the threats today are much different. However, the reaction is still the same.

What do we do about this?

I wish it was a simple as just doing what we say we are going to do. Sometimes, that is enough to carry us through the day, but here are a couple more tips to help you through the treacherous waters -

Negotiate with the Fear - This is the strategy that I usually take. I tell myself.

Let's just take one more step. Usually by the time we get through that second step. By the time, we get through the first couple of steps, the fear is usually quiet.

Now, we move into the habit building phase where we will not have to worry about dealing with challenge again.

Make it a great day.
Justin

PS I moved through the fear and you will see my content syndicated in dozens more places in the next few days.

It's all in the wording. Change implies there is a past that needs to be altered. Generally when we 'change' something there is a need for it and what happens is this 'change' brings the past into the new form.

What you want to do is transform something. What does transform mean? Well basically it is creating something new, with or without the past.

No worries. Remember this.... the word "stress" was created in the 1940s. Since then, we now have millions of people that are now "stressed". It's all language. :-)
