I've already read it. a couple times. I even did a little history on the writer, Wallace Wattles. Its actually kind of a sad story. but when you read it, it seems like so much of the stuff is directed at people that dont work in a structured environment, like home workers or more towards people that arent looking for a job, but a way to make a living

Have read it but can't say it produced tangible results... but it has helped many people make a breakthrough. I would recommend it though as it emphasizes creating value for your customers which is always a good thing.

TSOGR is great! He doesn't use the word "Law of attraction", but he's certainly teaching those principles.

It's a great book to start with if you're just familiarizing yourself with creating your own reality, law of attraction, etc.

By the way if anyone tries charging you money for this book, run. Just google it - it's available from myriads of authors, web-sites and sources 100% free.

    Hi Michael,

    Great book. Read it.

Two others I recommend are: "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill

"The Master Key System" by Charles F. Haanel.

I do have links to take you to the books to read online. However I can't post links yet. If this would be useful to you then PM me or do a google search for sacred hyphen texts dot com (All three are there)

All these books interconnect and are relevant. It just boils down to which style of writing you like and what "system" works for you.

    Happy Reading

Thats the 'sad' part of the story of the original author. Wallace Wattles was pretty much poor his entire life, until he came up with this way of thinking. He was part of a group of 'new age thinkers' for his time. He created his book, published it and for about a year, lived as a published writer and his life was starting to turn around because of it, then he died. He never saw the money that would come from a book thats still being read a century later.

Think and grow rich is the direct descendent (more or less) of the science of getting rich.

A couple years ago when The Secret came out, all you have to do is look at it and see that its practically a copy of TSOGR. Most every well know motivational speaker like anthony robbins can pretty much point to wattles as their inspiration.

Another good book that probably should be mandatory highschool reading is 'The richest man in babylon'

excellent book that was apprently created just after the stock market crash of 1929 based on pamphlets that were put out by banking institutions to show people how to build and maintain personal wealth.

    Interesting about inspiration.
I don't think "something outside" of us bring inspiration into us, it's rather we let inspiration unleashed when we clean the inner world.

I highly recommend this book be a part of your library. Did you know that it was this book that inspired the movie The Secret?

Rhonda Byrne was given a copy of this book when she was going through a tough time emotionally and financially. She made up here mind that she would bring this information to the world and that's how The Secret was born and the world is more aware of the universal law, Law of Attraction, because of it.

Each chapter is fairly short and in my opinion the whole book could be read in one sitting. I found out about the history of this book and study it every day through my mentor and trainer Bob Proctor, one of the teachers of the Secret.

FYI for all you fellow warriors - Every Monday at 5pm EST Bob Proctor and his team go through one of the chapters in this book. For call details, etc go to Welcome to 30minuteswithBobProctor.com

This is good stuff. Some of the players behind The Secret (Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield and Michael Beckwith) are just about to launch a course based on applying the techniques found in the book. It will be a great launch. You can even JV partner in the launch and earn while you learn.

    What is the science
    behind getting rich?

As far as i know, the richer we become:

    1. The stingy we become
    2. The more loan we have

    Discipline is very important

Gotta recommend "Think & Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. 70 year old book, but so very very applicable. It deals with the mind set vs what skills set one needs to be successful. The mindset has not changed through the ages, only the avenue to acquiring riches, whatever riches you want. (fyi, it doesn't just pertain to money)

This is a foundational book for developing money mindset. It teaches the readers the secrets of attracting wealth:There is a formula to getting rich and if you apply this formula, you will defintely become rich as it is a law of nature. Many have found wealth over the centuries by applying the principles in this book.

In Chapter 2, Wallace Wattle says "There is a science of getting rich and it is an exact science. like algebra..there are certain laws..(when) learned and obeyed. any man (can) get rich with.. certainty"
