I agree completely. People should never purposely do anything to abuse someone else. I think this applies to internet marketing too. You wouldn't walk up to somebody on the street and take their money...but there are hackers who wouldn't hesitate to steal somebody's commissions if they had the chance. Obviously, not everyone is doing this, but the small percentage of bad IMers out there makes it harder for the honest people to succeed.

    Hi,
A very interesting question and an excellent way of thinking. Fist of all just allow me to say that I firmly believe that God loves you and there is no absolutely no room for fear.

Fear of anything or anyone can cause, a person to do some very strange things, the same applies to ignorance of certain laws and principles.

Sometime people do things with very good intentions only to create serious problems for someone else. I believe that the best way to deal with situations such as these is to aspire to know and understand ourselves so that we would be better able to treat another person the way they ought to be treated.

    Regards
    rouse9.

Interesting topic. It made me think a little.

It sounds like you are talking about the "Golden Rule". Have you heard of the "platinum rule?"

the golden rule says treat others as you would want to be treated. Sounds good. the platinum rule says treat others as THEY would want to be treated. Interesting...

There are several people that talk about this and use different terms for describing this, but they all pretty much say the same thing about the platinum rule. It is pretty interesting when you think about it.
There are four distinct categories of people. You can have characteristics of each category, but we all tend to have a dominant characteristic.
Some people are analytical and would only buy a car if they check consumer reports for several months.
Some people are fun fun fun. They will not do anything unless it is FUN.
Some people are nurturers. (sp) They like to take care of people.
Others are the CEO's the leaders and are very abrupt and direct.

So if you are fun fun fun and would buy a car on the spot, and you expect the analytical guy to do the same you will turn him/her off... Make sense???

Jerry 'the rhino" clarke talks about this subject in detail. It's pretty neat...

I agree with you it is only right to give to others what you would expect in return. Hurting others intentionally is gross diregard or lack of care for them, it is said that what goes around comes around therefore each time you hurt someone intentional it comes back on you.

I don't think there is really any reason to be afraid of God as when you are afraid of someone you tend to stay away from them or avoid reaching out to them freely, or freely expressing your honesty to them, it is therefore important to acknowledge him as a friend who will genuinely understand when you make a mistake.

I believe so much in the Golden Rule, “treat others as you would like to be treated”. I don’t want to do bad things intentionally to other people for fear that they might do some bad things to me or something bad will happen to me. So I always try to avoid “bad people” for fear of myself doing some bad things to them

It's case-to-case basis wherein you do something nice for someone but it turns ugly for them. It could be that you helped that person but he abused it and now he's reaping the bad things that go along with his/her choice.

It's like a teacher showing you how to use a knife. You use it for cooking, cutting things or a tool at home, or even a defensive weapon. The teacher was doing a good deed. But one thing you can never predict or comprehend from students are their behaviors toward new knowledge. You end up with regrets teaching a particular student how to use the knife because he or she killed another person with a wonderful tool.

In the end, what you impart as good knowledge may either make or break someone else is not exactly your fault. We all make choices.
