MASSIVE LEVERAGE - Let's Get Shit Done - Beats Wake Up Productive!

Warriors,

Your success depends on your work ethic and knowledge. I cannot help you much with the knowledge because everyone's requirements are unique. However, I can help you discover a secret tool that can help you get shit done in record time.

What is the secret technique?

It is called Pomodoro. Long story short... you work in intervals. You work for 25 minutes, take a break for five minutes. You work for 25 more minutes, take a break for 10 minutes. You work for 25 more minutes, take a break for 15 more minutes. You got the idea right?

During each interval, your work needs to focus on 3 things. First recap what you've done already, actually do the work (take your next steps) and review what you just did.

For some more fun, get yourself Concentrate :: Eliminate distractions to work and study more productively or the iPhone App GymBoss.

These three things worked wonders for me and totally beats Wake Up Productive. Eben did an amazing program with Wake up Productive but Pomodoro has more research and case studies backing up the teaching! Hell it works for me

You can learn more about the Pomodoro technique here: The Pomodoro Technique®

BTW for mor personal productivity, get a Mac. Windows may not have the cool alternatives you find on a Mac.

I will print this out and present it to my boss
On a more serious note, I took a look and sounds interesting. Will still need to be a good level of discipline.

Pomodoro Technique is amazing for beating procrastination and staying focused.
WakeUpProductive has similar technique called "60-60-30" solution. Where you work for 50 minutes with timer then take 10 minutes short break. Repeat. And after 2 hours take longer 30 minutes break. There are a lot of other details to this technique.

I will add my notes in the other thread as I reach this module (Session 5):

No you have to recap, work and review within 25 minutes. Break time is break time, don't think about work or anything strenuous when you are on break.

Pomodoro and deadlines when used will guarantee an increase in productivity.

It's a pity that i didn't come across this method when i was still in college.

    Cheers,
