A Very Unique Mistake a Lot of People Make Yet Never Realize It.

A few days ago I opened up a thread on controlling your emotions but here is the strange thing. Even when some people are in the right state of mind they never act on it.

They just enjoy being in that state of mind yet still don't do the right thing. I have seen thousands going to tony robbins and other motivational seminars but the energy they experience only lasts till the seminar is over.

For the next few days they do feel good but they never act on that feeling which is take some steps towards getting closer to their goals.

So the conclusion is that feeling good is useless if it takes you no where. It is only useful as long as it drives you to take action.

Whenever you experience that high state...Act...Act...Act. Before you fall back into the down state.

A very bottom-line kind of post.

I agree: the key to results is action. No action, no results or no control over the results.

The good feeling that you're experiencing is telling you that you're in the right vibration to act on that feeling.

Your attitude is comprised of your thoughts, feelings and actions. Whenever you have a thought it creates a feeling, positive or negative, and it's that feeling that will cause you to act or not act. You most create a big why or purpose in your life to sustain and consistently act on your feelings.

    Hi Ryan,

Many people attended seminars but few took action. Among the people who went for seminars, only a handful of them succeeded as they are the one who took action. The majority failed even though they have the knowledge to succeed and the difference only lies in whether they act upon the knowledge or not.

      Hi Ryan,

What if you make a contest with one - two other persons who also attended. At the last day of the seminar you can set up that contest between each other and make a challenge e.g. who will reach the next goal earlier.

Wouldn't be this inspirational for you to do the next ACTION step?

      Just an idea, hmmm?

      Cheers,

      Sandor

Why wait for a seminar? Anyone interested in a small contest (It could be for either bragging rights, or a small cash incentive -- say $10 Paypal) on reaching a goal in the next 2 weeks? or by the end of April?? Post here or send me a Private Message...

I've had good luck doing a contest with a friend at the day job... but we only do daily tasks, and mostly related to our day job... I need the same push on my internet marketing and something that spans several days.

        Any takers?

          Hi Anne,

Thank you for your comment, I agree that you have opportunity to make such challenge everyday as well. But as I observed the OP was related to the participation of a seminar so my post tried to connect to that.

I find the motivation necessary to the achievement of your goals. It is possible to motivate somebody diversely if you find the road leading to him -- if you resonate with him.

To be a partaker in an X amount prize contest is good. But you cannot motivate the best ones with money. The money is good for their assessment only. The feeling of delight motivates the best ones.

          Cheers,

        Sandor,

This may be why some of the better "mastermind" groups are so successful. The members are usually teamed up with 'accountability partners'...partners who they agree to answer to for their actions or lack of taking action. Each partner asks the other what they will have accomplished by the next meeting and report successes / failures etc.

Left alone...they have less motivation ...no deadline...no accountability.

          Hi Peter,

Thank you. What you are saying is right. Of course the essence in this kind of partnership is the presence of the 'helping hand'. You know that every partaker are grew up now and are able to think independently. But if this partnership is serious and have commitment for each other then they don't leave you alone.

This way you can feel a permanent buzz around you, feel yourself motivated, and there is your accountability in reaching your goals. And you know that you can reckon on your partners at any time.

          Wish you a successful day,

          Sandor

Amen to that, you are talking my language!!! It's All about the Mindset!!

Although I like motivational speaking, standard psychology and pop psychology etc.. it can sometimes just have a skin deep affect ... people are energized but their mind has not been properly re-wired to the degree needed to actually sustain a life of discipline and wise choices in line with their aspirations.

Some need more than a night of affirmation and nice sayings ... your reason for change has to grow LARGER than any reason not to ... if that does not happen you run the risk of just having an expensive and memorable night out seeing a articulate Guru.

I think a lot of people fail to act because they're not sure what to do. This is especially true when it comes to Internet marketing.

Most people never learn Internet marketing skills therefore they cannot act to improve their business because they don't know how. I would encourage everyone to get motivated to learn Internet marketing skills and enjoy the results from that comes from acting upon them.

        Hi Jeff,

Thank you. Well said, it is true unfortunately.

But I think this isn't their fault only. Every people has different background, learning, ability, WANT and MOTIVATION, etc.. I believe the motivation is primary, if someone don't know why he want to build an online business, then he starts with a big drawback and will arrive to nowhere.

It's a well known fact that Internet Marketing has many parts and they have interaction between each other. So if you want to reach a success in this field then you first need to learn, learn and learn.

This continuous learning is not a work, this is an INVESTMENT only into yourself and your business and will be recovered later. You need to acquire your entrepreneural mindset, and find a mentor who help. This will cut your learning curve significantly.

        Cheers,
