How Do You Get Through Rough Times?

I'm wondering how everyone gets through or handles rough times in their business or lives?

I recently lost a client and even though they were a small client I still saw them as a stepping stone to the business I need to grow my income and confidence since I'm just starting out with offline marketing.

I almost feel like my financial goals are light years away from where I currently am.

Just wondering if anyone else has gone through the same and how they handled it.

Hi Ehanson. I know how it feels to go through rough times. They way I deal with them is to not think about them. The reason why it feels awful is because of those darn thoughts.

I push any negative thoughts out of my mind and fill it with thoughts that make me feel good. Sometimes it might take me looking beautiful photos, listening to some inspirational music, or reading a good book. When I feel good, I will have more energy and motivation to do important things.

Beyond just doing what makes me feel good, I visualize what my goals and dreams will like like when I achieve them. I keep my thoughts at the end result and constantly live it in my mind. Keeping my thoughts there will cause me to take inspired action towards achieving what you envision. In other words, my mind comes up with amazing ideas to reach my goal.

If we really think about it, allowing the negative thoughts of tough times to reside in mind will literally keep us from having the necessary thoughts for us to manifest our goal. In short, our mind cannot be holding onto a negative and positive thought at one time. Only one or the other. I personally choose hold the positive thoughts. This kind of thinking does take practice, depending on the individual. I've gotten really good at it! =) One last thing, have faith and keep persistent. You will steadily move towards your goal. Good luck!

Hi Ehanson, I'm sure this is just a minor setback. I truly understand how you feel. I for one am having a hard time as of the moment, planning the wedding next year and all the stuff for it but with my financial status right now I felt the same way with you... it is as if my goals are starting to be far fetched. But you see, I believe you and I have already faced so many difficult things in life and have overcome it and this one is just a tiny thing. It's just a matter of deciding to persevere and endure.

and a season for every activity...
Everything will be beautiful in its time...

Just continue on what you are doing and your plans. And you will surely reap the benefits in time... I believe not that long... maybe a couple of months from now...

There is no such thing as a person who built a successful business without a hiccup or two in their plans.

What separates successful business people from unsuccessful ones is that they took the issue in stride, and found a way to keep going.

For me, the first thing I do is take a big step back and a few deep breaths. I get away from the computer - go for a walk, read a chapter in a book - anything that ISN'T related to the issue. (That applies to work and personal life, actually.)

When I come back to the problem, I ask myself whether it is a major thing, or if it just looks major. Most of the time it turns out to just be a small thing that I blew out of proportion. A couple tweaks to my plan and I'm underway again.

Other times the issue turns out to be a big thing, and I've had to make some life and business changes thanks to them. But I pray about it, meditate on it, and try to see the bigger picture.

Everything happens for a reason, and you know . . . every time something has "stopped" me and I have to "reroute" my life because of it, I actually end up better off for it.

It may not seem like it at the time, but many rough spots are blessings in disguise - you just have to be strong enough to look through the crap to see the good stuff that's waiting.

Not trying to be Pollyanna-ish, but that's been my personal experience.

Every business has ups and downs... but the success is measured by how many times you get back up and how much you can adapt to the changes.

I personally consider tough times a challenge I'm always willing to accept. I'm a fighter and I never give up until I reach my goals.

    That's my personal, unsophisticated philosophy.

Hey man, everyone who is successful, has gone through hard times. It is a part of life. There is no way around it unless you live in a bubble.

To make a full time income online, everyone who does it successfully, will go through hard times.

The key though is to watch your emotions and get control of them

The feeling of times being rough is an experience of thinking.

If you think that you should be somewhere different than where you are, then your mind will try to get there by reacting to its own thinking. Thought after thought.

But life is a funny thing. We seem to keep forgetting. Night after night. We think we've almost crossed over the line, only to experience the feeling of someone hitting the game over button and it seems like we have to start over or make up a lot of lost ground.

If it ever seems that you finish the race, or actually get somewhere, then what next? Probably either to start another race, or to rest.

But we all forget. We forget a little, every night. And in the end, it seems we forget it all.

So I think the point is to listen to the music of life right now. There is always space for a new song, and every one has a song to sing. All to be done is to listen to the music of life all around us until the song arises in our hearts.

And when we finally sing, it seems that we lose ourselves in the bliss of our love and expression, only to remember again who we are and that we are here. For a while.

I focus on positives, keep trucking, and evolve my strategy as needed. I refuse to let myself give up, because I know if i ever do, then I will likely fail.

Hi Ehanson! First of all let me say I'm sorry to hear you lost a client.

Next I just want to say it's not the end of the world if you don't allow it to be.

It's only adversity. Yes, I know it can be frustrating to feel like you're making key moves to pave your road to success and then run over a nail and get a flat tire.

Just remember there is a such thing as fix a flat so patch that tire up and keep moving.

Normally when things look the worst if you can remain faithful and stay with it there's about to be a breakthrough for you.

Remember labors work like this. If you plant good seeds and be patient then you're able to reap your rewards in the season of harvest.

In closing my advise it to just remain positive and keep working on your offline business and moving forward.

    Kind Regards

Keep working hard and do not give up for a second. There is no such thing as instant gratification or instant success, just like how a person has their good days or bad days, a business will as well. A business will not be fantastic and number all the way through and will hit bumps along the way, what you are trying to do as an entreprenuer is to get consistant results. Good luck!
