I'm a big fan of eating natural foods and avoided processed junk and I thought I could share some useful info about a food ingredient that are secretly making us fat.

What's this dangerous ingredient?

High Fructose Corn Syrup, which is a man made sweetener that is cheaper to produce and actually sweeter than sugar.

Here's what makes it so harmful:

When HFCS is ingested, it travels straight to the liver which turns the tasty, sugary liquid into FAT.

HFCS does not cause the pancreas to produce insulin. As a result, our bodies are "tricked" into a vicious cycle, eating food that gets immediately stored as fat and never feeling full.

It is associated with blood sugar problems, ADD/ADHD, depression, fatigue, B vitamin deficiency, indigestion, tooth decay, and most importantly... WEIGHT GAIN.

So what's the solution? Just avoid HFCS?

Unfortunately it's not that easy.

You see, HFCS is added to so many foods that historically have not contained sugar, like peanut butter, bread, yogurt and juices.

So it's very difficult to avoid completely.

Also, even if you eliminated HFCS from your diet, it wouldn't repair the damage that has already been done. There's another step you have to take first.

This is why you need to help your body repair the damage from toxins like HFCS... and lose a lot of weight in the process.


The food industry is well aware that HFCS is a problem. But instead of eliminating HFCS, the corn lobby in Washington, DC has asked the FDA to change the name of HFCS to "corn sugar."

They think that just changing the name will fool us into thinking it's healthier.

So you can't rely on the food industry to help you eat healthier foods and lose weight. You need to take action on your own.

    You'll feel a LOT better if you stop choking down soda.

    Here's something you can do:

    1. Drink lots of water.
    2. Drink fresh juice and smoothies.
    3. Work out first thing in the morning to get your energy going.

    Also - it's worth noting that most HFCS comes from Genetically Modified corn.

    Yeah, I live in South Korea. Everyone here is skinny, AND the biggest culture shock when I go home stateside is the amount of fat people. Damn, we Americans are fatter than I thought!

    The diet over here is all natural foods and hardly anything has HFCS in it. It's all kimchi, other veggies, and rice and some meat and fish.

    AKA all natural foods and nothing processed.

    You know what the other killer is? Wheat. I know it's hard to believe but more people have gluten allergies than they realize.

    Especially in the US. Corn & wheat used to be healthy for us but because of all the government subsidies and big agra mass production going on it's become very unhealthy.

    Corn used to be colorful and much smaller but we took out the color (and with it the nutrients) and super sized the corn stocks. We grow more corn in the same unit of land now then ever before and the corn is grown in soil that doesn't have many nutrients.

    The corn is also treated with chemicals that make it grow faster. More corn off the same unit of land is good for profits but bad for our health.

    Wheat is no different. In order to increase profits the big arga farmers cut the wheat down before it's fully matured. That way they grow more wheat in the same plot of land. The soil is also without nutrients.

    If you want to fix your health problems:

    - eliminate all chemical additives in your food (especially food dyes, artificial sweetners and chemical coloring)
    - eliminate all gluten and high fructose corn syrup
    - eliminate all dairy (unless it's 100% whole milk from a cow)

    Find a local farmer and buy eggs, meat and fruits from them. Eat this way for a few weeks and you'll experience some amazing changes in your health.

    Yes HFCS is horrible! And I agree we Americans are F-a-t! But in a lot of ways, it's not really our fault. There is another ingredient out there that is even more insidious and packs on the pounds....MSG. A lot of people have sensitivity to it. It is in so many foods. The insidious part? Let's say for example, you just 'have to have' a few potato chips (or crisps in the UK) how many people do you know that will only eat one or two and be satisfied?

    I'll bet not very many! The reason is that MSG reacts with our brain and makes us crave more and as a consequence we are unable to stop with just one or two. There is a potato chip ad that for a long time had the slogan, "No one can eat just one"....well, MSG is the reason but they weren't about to share that with people. But they weren't lying either.
