10 Reasons You're NOT making money!

Here are 10 reasons you are not making money yet and what you should do instead - I hope it helps: (Sorry about any grammatically or punctuational errors)

1. Wasting Valuable Time - if you're reading this thread right now, and your not making money you should be spending most of your time doing money making activities. If it's not going to make you money it don't make sense. Forum browsing, twittering, facebooking will not make you money so you should avoid these sites at all costs during working hours.

2. Your Blueprint
- Not everyone is going to understand this because I know plenty of people who have become success without doing any of this BUT some people have a mess up blueprint (subconscious mindset about money and success).

- If you procrastinate
- If you are afraid of success or afraid to fail
- If you listen to your mind rather than your heart
- If you listen to your friends/family than listen to your heart
- If you buy shiny new products weekly
- If you are trying really hard and not getting anywhere
- If you make money but it seems to disappear all the time
- If you unmotivated
- If you are comparing yourself to other success people
- If you think money is evil
- If you hate ANYone successful (Good or Bad people)
- If you wish you had success
- If you make the wrong investments

These are just to name a few there are plenty more. If you have any of these problems your blueprint needs be CHANGED! You need a new blueprint.

Here are some places I think you should start:

http://7levelsofwealthmanifestation.com/money-vow/

http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-warriors-success-power-self-improvement/720145-hooponopono-automatically-heal-your-subconcious-mind.html

3. Friendship - If you don't have internet marketing friends or your not apart of a circle/mastermind (a real one) and or you don't have a coach/mentor = You need to be in one or have one!

You will massively increase you chances of success if you network, get into a mastermind or get a coach (how about all 3). If you think your going to make a lot of money any time soon without talking to people you've got a long road ahead of you.

- Make friends, get in a mastermind, get a coach/mentor.

4. Do what marketers are DOING not what they are TELLING you to do!
If something is really great there is a good chance marketers will keep it to themselves or within their circle of friends (hence get into circle).

In other words most stuff that is REALLY good is not for sale! (Not all but MOST)

5. Look at what others are doing and do the same but make it better and unique to you. If you can't make it work doesn't mean the method doesn't work it means you've made a mistake.

6. STOP pointing fingers, the moment you stop blaming the government, Illuminati, your family, GOD, TIME, economy, marketers and you start looking within you. You will find that you are the blame for everything you see and react to. It's your blueprint... change it and take responsibility and make things happen baby. (There's only one life to live I can't let a day go - JayZ)

I understand that is a big bullet to chew for some people but anything worth having isn't going to be easy.

Try this exercise :

Point your finger at the computer screen right now.. Go do it!

Now look at how many fingers are pointing back at you?

Go on... keep pointing but turn your palm facing up... ! You have 3 fingers pointing back at you right?

When you point fingers or blame someone else for your experiences. The finger points back at you 3 fold. Imagine a world where everyone pointed the finger at themselves. Emmmmm What would happen?

Blame yourself for everything you can. Even the stuff that may be out of your control and if you can take Response-Ablity (The ability to respond in positive manor) you will see a massive shift if your prospective. The more you do this the more you begin to dissolve bad karma allowing good karma into your life.

If the waiter messes up your order you have a choice to create bad/good karma. The way you respond to things is key here even in business.

7. Once you have something that works stick with it.

I had a student that made $250 and stopped using the method immediately after? This may sound stupid to some but when I first started I use to do things like this too. :-(

I'd make money... then I'd jump onto the next bandwagon.

Stick with what works and drink the bottle dry.. THEN move onto something else if you wish.

8. Get outside your comfort zone. The best way to do that is to visualize. Visualize yourself doing the things you wouldn't normally do... BUT don't even attempt to visualize without getting a NEW blueprint.

Here's why visualizations, affirmations, hypnosis, NLP doesn't work permanently for most people:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm-Hne6lYVU

I am referring to the cup analogy in that video by the way.

9. Lack of motivation. If you're in this game just for the money you're in the wrong game. If it isn't fun for you or it's boring or doesn't excite you at all and you kinda just like the IDEA of it all... you my friend are in the wrong business OR your lack of motivation is because you in it for the wrong reasons. Change your reasons.

Let me explain:

When you have a crush on a man/woman and you chase them, what happens? They run, they are repelled, they are overwhelm by you. It's unattractive. For some people anyway.

Are you chasing money? Chasing money isn't attractive. Your visitors will see it, your subscribers will see it, you customers will see it. You are not trust worthy at all therefore a lot of people won't spend a dime on you. Subconsciously we can pick up when someone is trying make a buck out of us. Are you chasing money?

Read this:
How to Defeat Kolrami

Now that should be your approach to business.

10. I'll leave this open for discussion.

The answer to all the questions in internet marketing. Notice the plural on marketer(s). Don't just follow one successful person, focus on what they ALL are doing - then do it better.

I like the chasing money one. I partially agree with you because these days people suspect everything has some kind of a catch. The best part is that most don't even know what the "catch" really is and assume the easiest/worse option.

For example when I started in IM I advertised my blog which had legitimate online jobs from big companies. I was not affiliated with any of them but still half of the people assumed that I was working directly with those companies. They didn't understand that I wanted to simply give out info in return to make my blog more popular and not make money directly from them.

Fun, good content in the OP post. This is a lesson to us all, generally!

    10. Be Unique

I'm not saying you're not - but many of your points verge on the re-hashed. Although, to be fair, you've put your own spin on them - which is to be commended. And, of course, there is some unique (and insightful) stuff in there - which I welcome and will try not to re-hash

Very valid point. Being unqiue is key.

Here is the EASIEST way to be unique:

      BE YOURSELF!

      Nobody:

      Thinks like you
      Acts like you
      Smiles you
Has the same body has you
Likes the same things you do
Talks the way you do etc.

EVERYONE is 100% Unique and special and you can add you value to the planet just by being yourself and believing in your idea.

It's said that "Money is an IDEA backed by confidence". It's not hard to be unique but it is hard for some people to believe in their uniqueness (change your blueprint).

If you can truly find the confidence and be bold in your ideas the money will follow and you will no longer chase money, money will chase you.

      Thanks for your contribution.

Great post, Gavin. Very thorough. After coming back to re-read it, I'd like to comment on getting out of your comfort zone. I think it's important along the road to success to not be afraid to fail, and to avoid trying to be perfect. For me, making these adjustments are outside of my comfort zone.

      Hi Kathy:

Failing is just programming. You failed to walk as a baby multiple times before you could achieve walking over long distances. Nothing could stop you right? You were unstoppable.

Somewhere along the line Kathy you have been taught that failure is not apart of life. Consciously you know failing is apart of life as you stated above but subconsciously you don't believe this to be true.

I think it's about 75% subconscious, if I remember correctly... That 75% is ruling everything you do, see and feel. It's just an accumulation of past experiences. It's like software data that is running your operating system.

Here's something you can do to help

First step: You need to identify what you are afraid of?

      Is it:

      Making money lot of money
Being BIG? (Maybe you're afraid of being bold because you know your life will be better - and that comes into self worth)
Don't feel like you deserve your outcomes/goals?

      Second: Reverse your focus:

Once you have listed some statements and noted the things you feel and say yourself, write down the complete opposite to those statements. Your new list is what you should focus your energies on and they should all be positive statements.

Third: Get mutiple strong reasons why.

You need to work out what's more important than your fear and why you need to out do yourself. In fact god forbid this happen but, - if your house was burning down you'll have a burning (no pun intended) reason WHY you need to get the hell out of there FAST!

So I would say your reason why has to be BIGGER than fear (or let the fear motivate you). With the whole burning house scenario your reason WHY is because you want to stay alive! Don't make your reason why about you. It must be bigger than just you wanting to make money etc.

Money is a means to and end and you never focus on money or success.

If you want to be happy - would you like to others to be happy too? If so that's a strong WHY.

Would you like get out of your comfort zone - what positive things would happen for others if you got out of your comfort zone? That's a strong reason why.

etc etc etc. And if you don't do it you're not only letting yourself down but probably letting down untold thousands of people that need your help

I would consider look at some stuff to help you change your subconscious beliefs. There are many platforms for this, but find ones that work for you. I would at least start with Ho'oponopono.

      Many blessing.

I haven't read that book, I know sad , I do own it though. I really need to read it properly, but it's funny how you say that it's a condensed version maybe it will back up what I already know intuitively. I'm going to read this year definitely.

I suggest you get rid of the Karma first of all by forgiving them and moving on. Plus you can also look at it as a learning experience.

I suggest you invest in either one of these 3 things or ALL of these 3 things= Networking - Coaching - Mastermind.

Network by going to events. Example I am going to the Traffic & Conversion summit in a few days, I am going to learn lot of cool new information on traffic and conversion. I also have the opportunity to network with other marketers.

Most successful marketers that know have been to 3+ networking events. They don't buy courses and ebooks. It's not what you know it's who you know.

Next I would hire and invest into a coach/mentor that will be tailored to what you need and want help with.

Create a mastermind or get into a mastermind of like minded people so you surround yourself with the positivity. You will learn a lot of powerful information by joining a mastermind and you'll get support too so as long as you contribute and add value to the group.

Those are the things I recommend you focus on. Everything else will come together when you have these.

    Few points to add:

    1. Have a plan.
With the amount of information that can be found online, it easy to get distracted and diverted. Do major planning with detail tasks. Follow the plan with buffer for adjustments.

    2. Be persistent.
It may not work the first time. Make correction and test again. Lots of tweaking may be needed to generate good results.

Planning is a HUGE one... everyone plans differently I would advice people to plan in your own way and persistence is equally important. Great contribution thanks

I lack in this area.. What i found is that I don't like working untill after 1pm and I was beating myself that I wasnt get things done in the morning. Exercise is a huge motivator... I feel when I done so much in the morning from exercising that I can accomplish anything throughout the day.

Emmmm, any event that doesn't have sales pitches. If its a pitch fest don't go, it's not worth your time and money. A bonus is learning stuff but the main priority is to talk too people.

I would advise you have something before going to events. Meaning you have a converting product or offer that JVs can promote for you. Something that is worth them promoting. Just by attending events and having a short 5 min discussion is enough to change your life!

You want to add them to facebook and skype and stay in contact.

DO NOT be a newbie and ask them loads of questions about marketing. Talk about them and make them feel good and have general conversation.

Remember this: It's not what you know it's who you know(you've probably heard this term a lot). Their knowledge/Ninja juice is not for share, and their ninja juice can make you a lot of money so as long don't try and drink all there juice your good.

Hope you get my weird analogy.

      For networking, I recommend:

      Yanik Silvers underground event
      Traffic and conversions Summit
Mike Filsaime Marketers cruise <--- a few days on holiday with other marketers priceless

Hi Gavin, I've been trying to get you in e-mails and by PM but no luck.

I also tried your support telephone number but it transfers me to a premium telephone number in the USA, so I guess I've been paying a high rate per minute to leave you messages there – did you get any of them?

I've never had a single reply from any of my tickets to your support desk.

I also contacted Jani by e-mail but got no response from her either.

In short I've not had one single reply to any of my many, many communications with you and your team.

So I thought I'd try this thread as you seem to be still active on this one. I hope you don't mind?

When I tried to sign up for your affiliate offer I got warnings of a dangerous site which was linked to an offshore banking system which had a dubious reputation of ripping of its affiliate members i.e. not paying them their due monies! But, I heard you were also offering this affiliate programme through ClickBank and so I contacted Jani and yourself about this via e-mail but got no reply. It's very frustrating not been able to set this up and make more money for you!!

It's also very frustrating not been able to use the system you sold to me because I cannot get answers to my questions about why it's not working!!?

I understand that I will be wasting more of my time trying to claim a refund for the package I bought from you as I paid for it through the same banking system mentioned above and I'm told that my bank will not even attempt to recover the monies due to the above bank's bad reputation and the fact they operate offshore. Could you advise me on this point please?

What do I do about all of this please?

      Regards, Kevin Walker.

I really like your point re the 'wrong mindset'. It's so true: having the wrong mindset doesn't get you anywhere. Listening to the wrong people and harbouring some fear of your own success sound a bit ridiculous, but it's SO true! For me personally, I think that I still can improve in not trying to create the perfect post or the perfect product. That would be a never-ending story... So I follow the motto 'just get it done, test it, change it and run with it.

Thank you Gavin. You know, back in 2000 when most sites used to get traffic through top sites, having a mentor and being in a group helped me a lot. I was able to do this because most webmasters used to place their ICQ uin at the bottom of their site, which isn't the case now. Do you have any advice from your experience on how to get in a group and a mentor?

It's such basic information but its the basics we are fastest to forget in searhc of the "REAL" secret! (which doesn't exist because 90% if not all the success is found in doing the basics!!!)
