The 1 Quote You Need When You Want to Give Up

Some time ago when i was in college i found a quote at the time when i was in need. .I wrote it down and committed it to memory. To this day it has helped me in everything i've attempted to get through the tough times and keep going. To all of you who want to give up, walk away or just lose faith in yourself and your efforts, read this. I hope it helps you as much. It was written by Calvin Coolidge, the quietest, least talkative of all US Presidents.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."

Way to go Rick. I first read that quote when I was about 18 - and promptly forgot it. Years later I came across it again and now I have it on the wall in front of my desk. It's been a great help at times.

This is a very meaningful quote. Persistence instead of desistence before numerous obstacles is what makes someone finally arrive to the end of a very long and difficult path.

If you feel that you have already done ‘too much’ and you should see the positive results of your efforts to keep going ahead, you will never understand how much you really have to do until you’ll finally be able to see the positive results you expect.

This is a brilliant quote Rick. Thanks for this. I totally agree! I always know that whatever I have lacked in this Internet Marketing game I have made up for in sheer persistence and perserverance!

I have come to love these two words as they are the real things that you can count on to get you to where you want to go!

Nice one rick! Keep perserveering :-)

Einstein was also a great supporter or perserverance!

Thank you for sharing this quote Rick ! I totally agree what it takes to succeed is persistence and perseverance!! When you are passionate about something many people at the beginning (included myself) has so much energy, positive thinking and conviction in success. But as time goes by and obstacles started showing up, what usually happens? People just start to lose their enthusiasm quick! Every day they shut down more and more and eventually they quit. I learned something, if I want to stay focused and persistent I need something which will help me to stay in this state of mind. This something are my dreams. Every time when hard time comes, when there is no progress, disappointment after disappointment, obstacle after obstacle I think of my dreams and goals and the feeling how it would be when I will achieve them. Almost instantly my energy comes back, positive thinking and creative energy starts to flow throughout my body! My enthusiasm is high as much as my self confidence. Everything comes back in normal as it should be!
So my dear friends think of your dreams as much as possible every day, your persistence will be bullet proof and you will reach the stars !!!

    Sincerely from,

    Franko

Nothing is more true than that quote - I'm an intelligent, talented, resourceful individual but like so many who possess the same attributes financial success still eludes me. But the one thing I possess that has always kept me going is my 'Never Say Die' attitude.

Here's one of my own that I hold onto everyday -
"Positivity is the greatest energy in the world, it's limitless and it's free"

    Thanks

A quote worth sharing to others. If you don't have talent and if you're not that smart it does not mean you're a failure.
