How to stop living in the past, and start living NOW!

I wrote this to try and make myself feel better about my current situation, and I've decided that every time I read it I will be a little bit happier at this chance to live such a great life I have. Because I know it might not be perfect, but I have already accomplished making 1,500 dollars online since last year. I know this may not sound like a lot to most people, but I am so thankful that I made that amount of money online, because most people strive towards it everyday. I have to really want it again like I did in the past, and that can start slowly the more times I read it, the more times I say to myself "Making a living online, is possible, and I'm so sick of hearing the negativity from people who believe that it is as elusive as finding the missing link. Anything is possible, if I truly believe it is. Happiness is just a cold gust of wind from behind, and you turn around and smile because at least you can feel that cold gust of wind."

I'm alive, and I can see myself with the goal I want to accomplish for the next year and I'm ready. I'm done living like everything I want is not obtainable, because it is. Let us all try to focus on the positive things in the coming year. Hell, start today if you like, because we aren't living in the past but the present and we all make our own future. I'm done being scared of trying to make some serious money online because it might not work, it will help me learn from my mistakes if I fail, and move on to another project. And when I ask myself what I have accomplished, I can say I accomplished a major learning experience from failing and pick myself back up and say everything is going to be okay.

I am going to invite new opportunities in my life, and expect them because of my positive mindset. I will realize that these things take time, and I'm going to start making the time for what I really want out of life because I am done being in my current situation. I am ready to start living, and create a little luck for myself. Believe in it, and anything is possible.

That's cool, way to go! Set targets for yourself, but try to set realistic targets as possible. Be ambitious nevertheless and keep raising the bar everytime, if you can.

Positive attitude plus action equals success. Too many people worry about tomorrow and forget to live in today. Good job on realizing that you can control yourself and your thoughts.

Our future is made up of a succession of nows. So if we just focus on making the most of the present and doing the best we can, we pave the way for a better future.

You know, my issue is living in the future, not in the past. I'm a good organizer and planner, and have to take care to remind myself that I can't do it all immediately...and enjoy the present.

It's tough, isn't it? We are now a collection of our past experiences, and yet to let the rule us is to never be fully alive...

Past is past and i think we should leave it all there. Probably it is where they belong, past.

Yes, past is past and for every failures we meet, we gain experience. Maybe for now, we work very hard with less result but as time goes by, we will be able to work less with great results.

This is a good thread. Several good posts in here.

I work in an emergency room and of course there is a ton of negativity surrounding the place. Patients don't feel good. Nurses are upset because the patients are being rude. Doctors are ticked off that things aren't moving faster. The place can be down right negative.

Then, you have the folks that keep a positive mental attitude (PMA). They live in the moment and make the most of what they have. You can see the gratitude in their demeanor and it feeds off into others. When tragedy strikes, they find the silver lining. These are the people I surround myself with and fill my mind with PMA.

One of my favorite sayings is "the mind has the power to make a heaven of hell, or a hell of heaven". When times are tough, our mindset will help or hinder us.

I am seriously loving this thread right now. I've been trying to do that every single day, no wait I HAVE been doing that every single day.

Asking myself, what can I do right now that will create a better tomorrow?

Then I will go do whatever the answer to that question is.

Love the moment now, embrace and enjoy it.

Leave the past well in the past, don't let your past dictate your future.

I am going to bookmark this thread so I can read it daily :-)
