Want to Feel More Excited and Fulfilled?

I just had a realization the other day... I've been using to-do lists for almost 2 years now and they've been incredibly helpful to me in organizing and carrying out all kinds of tasks BUT...

I never really experienced that much "joy" crossing the items off my to-do list at the end of each day, and I had no idea why...

If you're one of these people, keep reading on. If not, just carry on doing what you're doing.

To those of you facing the same problem of not feeling excited or extatic at the end of the day, when you know you should be because you crossed off everything from your to-do list, here's the solution that has worked MAGIC for me:

Add one CONSTANT item to your to-do list - A FAVOR. Each day, commit yourself to doing at least 1 favor to the person in your life who needs it the most!

Don't count in the favors people ask from you on a daily basis - make a conscious effort to recognize a problem in someone's life each day and offer to be of service. You may say "but I don't have the time to do this" - YES YOU DO! We all know that's bunch of BS. Usually takes up a couple of minutes to an hour at maximum but the joy you get from seeing people relieved or happy and thankful is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

Crossing off your "favor item" (or "favor flavor" as I call it ) from your to-do list at the end of the day will bring you more joy than all the other items together!

That's because most items on our to-do lists are things we do for ourselves, or things that are expected of us...

You may already have things on your to-do lists that look like "favors" at first glance, because they're things you have to do for your family (for example) - but these are most often things that are EXPECTED of you - they're your RESPONSIBILITIES... and that's not the same as favors...

Favors are done free-willingly, and there's no bad consequences if you don't do them, but the feeling of contribution is definitely rewarding beyond words...

Do this trick and watch the quality of your life skyrocket, trust me. Add the favor flavor!

Best regards,
Zannix

Damn, that's a good idea. I LOVE to do lists and have talked about their helpfulness many times, but I haven't gone out of my way to put favors on there.

Well, looks like my girlfriend gets a good massage tonight. It's on the list.

I have also noticed that these favors accumulate over time, as you sort of earn "credits" with people around you, so that when you're in trouble, you have someone to count on as well. It's the simple law of reciprocity, people want to give back. Besides building great relationships and overwhelming feelings of satisfaction, of course
