Why are DUMB PEOPLE making MORE MONEY than you?!

Nothing is more irritating than realizing that many 'dumb' people are making more money than you. There they are-dumb as rocks but rolling in BMWs, golfing four days out of the week, and living it up while you work like a slave. And you are way smarter than them!

The truth is, success is a habit. And habits are learned. Even 'dumb' people can learn the right habits and end up making more money than you. Any day. Also, by looking down on people as DUMB and boosting your ego thinking that you are SMART, you close your mind to LEARNING. 'Dumb' people make money because they LEARNED the right thing. The DUMBEST thing you can do is to CLOSE yourself off from learning the right success habits by:

1) thinking it is dumb
2) thinking that learning is beneath you
3) saying to yourself 'I've seen it before' and ASSUME it doesn't work

The truth is, success is a CHOICE. And the best choices are made with HUMBLE HEARTS and MINDS. Open your mind. Open your heart. Be a student again. Give yourself permission to LEARN.

In one of his books, Brian Tracy said that most Millionaire's are of average intelligence. If you look at CNBC's "How I made My Millions" you'll notice that most of these people made their money doing simple stuff like selling cookies.

Tracy also stated that "smart" people tend to get too impressed with themselves and they don't continue to learn and grow.

When you are of average intelligence you tend to have setbacks and failures that force you to truly evaluate your life and determine the simplest and easiest way to reach your goals.

No people have the ability to succeed in any field they choose. They learn how to do something and then they take action and do it. Most people online fail to take action. They are waiting for the next big thing to come their way.

If you want success be prepared to learn and take action and if you encounter a problem ask for help, if necessary, to work it out and keep on track.

Some people just want success so badly that they will pour all of their energy into making themselves successful. They believe they can do it and they will.

'C' students didn't swallow the kool-aid. Those that were successful already knew what they wanted at a young age. They didn't allow themselves to be brainwashed into following "the plan" set forth for how they should live and earn. They just went out and did it.

The fact is I've seen too many people that have spent their lives on college campuses. They are book smart but not street smart. They lack the common sense to do without being told what is and isn't possible. Those 'A' students become pundits on CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg or whatever trying to tell the rest of us where to invest our money or what to be afraid of. Just as it was told to them.

I myself don't understand this definition of 'intelligent' and 'dumb'. How intelligent can you be if you fail to learn and do the things you need to have the things you want. And how dumb can you be if you decide to take risks to accomplish what you are after.

That must make all of us on this forum 'dumb' for trying to be a success at or endeavors.

Taking risks is definitely a must for progress...

Plus, i think very intelligent people think TOO much about everything...So they lose track of their one and only focus on their goal..

So many thoughts can cause distraction, negative energy and so on....

Dumb people are less aware and less concious than highly intelligent people..

I think this plays a huge factor too...

    Agree?

What is really important is heart. These "dumb people" as you call them, have heart. They know what they want and are willing to die to get it.

For me intelligent/skilled people who are not where they want to be are the dumb ones

I have also noticed that the most successful people at anything have hit 'rock bottom' at one point in their lives. You either stay there, or overcompensate and fight your way out. The ones who have never hit 'rock bottom' never have to get out of their comfort zone and fight to live. I believe this is Tony Robbin's, and Brian Tracey's story.

Sometimes the motivation to do better isn't there if you always have your needs met.

There are scores of people who call others 'dumb' when they are not good at a few things they have seen them do. This doesn't mean that such people possess no intelligence at all. They are likely to be good at other things. The girl someone called a bimbo for her avid interest in hair and makeup could very well be a business owner today.

    Good post.

There are lots of stupid people who are wealthy and lots of brilliant people who are poor.

Ultimately, this is because making money does not require intelligence. (Doing certain types of work that pays well requires intelligence, but with that said look at how much money sports stars and pop stars make.)

Intelligence is awesome for the advancement of society and culture, for personal fulfillment, and for knowing how to spend your money. But intelligence doesn't have anything to do with getting rich, and quite often impedes doing so.

That's the hard, rough, bittersweet reality.

    Very insightful post, I think.

Intelligence just indicates capacity and potential. It doesn't mean someone is knowledgeable. there was a study of business successes and their IQ. You need at least an average IQ. But it doesn't help if you have an IQ over 120 or so. part of business success is relating to other people, selling, hiring and motivation employees, and thinking like your customer.

Geniuses simply don't think like their customer. they don't relate as well to most people. They aren't handicapped by intelligence, but intelligence has nothing to do with ambition. It has nothing to do with desire, the need to win, achievement.

While I hate to admit it, being from the A and B student group, there's a lot of truth here. Early on in graduate school one of the worst things that happened was when I was working on my first novel was a professor telling me during a first draft that the first 50 pages were almost publishable as is. I work best motivated by anger or "proving them wrong" and once complimented that heavily, I sluffed. Would be 6 more years before it was published, and I went the Kindle route. Learning the best habits for results is critical, and keeping that inner drive that keeps you through everything else.

I too have met many an A student who were truly great at academics but didn't know how to take effective action in order to accomplish meaningful goals. But, eventually even the most prideful person will crack open under his own pressure. Then, perhaps, learning will become more accessible.
