What is your motivation? Your answer might surprise you.

Are you a perfectionist? I was, and it was the absolute worst trait that I could ever have. But why?

As a perfectionist, my primary motive for success was to avoid failure at all costs; which can only lead to inevitable failure. My motivation, my drive, my focus was the very thing holding me back from success. Fear had snuck in and was found in the most unexpected place.

It wasn't until I recognized this problem and changed my motive for success from the fear of failure to the faith of success that my success finally started to shine through. My work begin to flow a lot smoother as I was working towards success, opposed to my work being a burden only working only to avoid failure.

Also, the fear of failure prevents you from learning all that which needs to be learned before success can be claimed. Failure is a critical part in succeeding as it is only a new opportunity presenting itself.

You see, failure is only in the minds of people with fear, but failure doesn't exist. By fearing failure, failure is all that is noticed when ones comes to what is actually temporary defeat.

It is the fearless action taker meets so called "failure" head on, but to them it literally goes unnoticed, because the fearless action taker only notices an opportunity to learn. When that crucial lesson has been learned, a new approach is taken with this new found knowledge, and the cycle continues until success is finally met.

Fear is very tricky emotion that can be found in places completely unexpected. Absolutely nothing good can come from fear, don't let anyone tell you different.

So what drives you? What is your motivation for success? Are you driven by the faith of success, or the fear of failure?

I do fear failure, but I do not think that it will happen to me since I work very hard at what I do. And I do feel that you learn from your failures and it can make you only stronger. Or at least that is the case for me. IF I fall off the horse, I get back on and am determined to make it better for next time.

It's pretty damn sneaky huh? Lol.

Now you know, so change it. Meet "failure" head on and learn from it! You will find success faster than ever imagined.

The faster you fail, the faster you can succeed.

        Oh yes!

I'm so excited for what's to come now that I'm getting out of my own way..I tell you the truth!

Come to think of it, it has always been a conscious decision on my part to handle my business. If it has to be done, I'm on it so I'm amazed at how I let fear of whatever creep in, attach itself to the things I need to do, then interfere with me making it happen.

But we are born to change I think.

I have concluded that my personal motivation is more of a utilitarian system of happiness. Give as much positive effect from the smallest action possible (this is my twist on the system; that's not precisely what utilitarianism is). And this gets honed over time so that the smaller the action the more effect it has in a very positive way.

In this direction I can only get better as long as my actions are pushing toward my goals. Wasteful thinking/ actions and my ego are the only things in the way of this. It took me a while to figure out what my real motivation should be

I get motivated by seeing my beautiful pregnant wife and my 1 year old baby boy. Every time I see them I get to feel how cool it is to be a Dad and provide for them. Enjoy my time with family. That is the very reason why I work at home
